The building was old, but I could see that hotel was trying to take good care of it. The breakfast was satisfying as well.
I recommend keeping bottled water in the room.

Overall a good hotel located in the center of the old town. If you have a lot of luggage, be prepared for the fact that a taxi will not be able to drive directly to the hotel, as the street on which the hotel is located is a pedestrian street. You will need to walk about 50 meters from the nearest possible taxi stop. Breakfast is a "buffet". Comfortable mattresses and pillows. The bathroom has robes and a foot towel. The shower/toilet were clean with new plumbing. The room also has a TV.

Excellent location, five-plus room. Food and service are excellent. A touch of local color only adds charm! I highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed!

We arrived at the Antonio garden to find our room had not been reserved. The staff were super helpful and found us 4 rooms at their sister hotel the spice palace around the corner. The staff helped us with our bags and then the following day took the luggage back to Antonio garden. They went above and beyond when I accidentally locked the case keys inside the case and they used a power tool to liberate my belongings. A wonderful gentleman dressed in a Maasai outfit assisted me a number of times when I found my way to the spice palace but couldn’t find Antonio garden. Nothing was too much trouble for this young man. The hotel was having building work but this was very unobtrusive and the builders were respectful. The food was good and we ate in the hotel restaurant several times. One waiter was called Emmanuel and he was the most charming, cheerful and friendly man and always made us feel welcome and special whenever he saw us. The rooms were well kept and very clean and any questions or issues we had the staff resolved. The biscuits left by housekeeping each evening were a delicious bonus to our stay. Thank you for making our trip to Zanzibar so memorable.

Stayed two nights.A very nice hotel in the middle of the stone town.Very nice atmosphere,friendly staff and very helpful.Very clean rooms.We felt at home.It was easy to make all tours when staying in this place.Highly recommend the service.
