Check-in at the front desk was very efficient. The room was quite spacious and had no strange odors. Facilities were complete, and the bottled water provided was good. The hotel is located in the old town, which made getting around quite inconvenient. The surrounding area felt very old, and the nearby Chinatown was also a bit run-down. On the positive side, the hotel facilities were relatively new, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was good.

The location is fine. Close to the historical square of Batavia. A bit far from central and south Jakarta. The staff at the front desk are all great with nice service. Will choose this hotel again next time.

Don't bother with the high-floor city view rooms; just book the standard room. There's absolutely no difference in room size or interior decor and amenities between the 600+ RMB city view room and the 300 RMB standard room. The 'city view' isn't worth it at all; Northern Jakarta in this area is just a slum with no scenery to speak of. I've attached photos taken from the room.

Hotel is very comfortable with clean rooms and amenities. Staff were also very helpful and enthusiastic. Location was also good with easy transportation access, but note that the traffic jam at the main road outside is quite bad.
