New Ocean Hotel

A comfortable hotel for its older demographic. Friendly staff, well organised and plain cooking. We walked from the station, it took about 30 minutes. Nice sea view in a quiet location. There is a lift. Easy to walk into town or along the front. The decor is worn but it was largely clean and comfortable The shower wasn't fully sealed so it leaked quite a lot on the floor. Soap and lotions were provided as were tea bags and a good TV.

This hotel is great! We had a seaview room, it was perfect. Food excellent with a good choice to please everyone and staff were outstanding Entertainment was enjoyable too This hotel is so well organised it runs like clockwork We will definitely return

We came here on a coach trip and were greeted on arrival by the hotel owner. Our cases were taken up to our room and we were checked in without delay.The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our room was on the second floor and had a beautiful sea view.There were tea making facilities with plenty of milk and tea.Also plenty of electrical points for charging iPads and phones. The beds were really comfortable and there were extra pillows in the wardrobe if they were needed.The bathroom had a decent size shower and was clean. The evening meal was good with a choice of three starters and three main courses. There was also a varied selection of desserts.Breakfast was self service cereals ,fruit and juice. There was also a hot buffet which was served to you but you could have as much as you wanted.All the staff were very helpful and did all they could to help you. The bar was clean and comfortable and well run by Kate. The free bar was great. There was a selection of spirits John Smiths beer which my husband assures me was a good pint!There was also Fosters lager and a cider. You never had to wait long to be served by Kate or the other lady who sometimes served there.The entertainment was very enjoyable and there was one game of bingo every night. The lobby and toilets were clean and it was nice and warm throughout the hotel. The staff at this hotel are brilliant and really looked after us.They were all friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked to stay there again in October. Thank you to everyone at The New Ocean Hotel you are a great team.

Return visit to this hotel. Rooms are fine and kept clean with clean towels on request and coffee and tea make facilities and tv. All the staff work hard to make your visit enjoyable. Breakfast is what ever you enjoy cereals, fruit juice etc followed by a full English breakfast toast and coffee. Evening meal is a menu which is changed every day. You choose what ever you would like. The only downside is there is no separate lounge area for residents who would like a quiet area. Probably due to the age of the building this is not possible. Big thanks to all the staff for their hard work to make everyone’s stay enjoyable.

Very warm welcome, excellent staff all round. Food was also excellent. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Any requests were dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again.
