Travelodge Weston-Super-Mare

It was perfect for us for a 3 night stay as we had business in the area. It was welcoming, helpful and next door was a nice restaurant bar. I would stay again. Very close to the helicopter museum.

Overall the environment was clean and the staff were nice and helpful. There were lots of parking spaces. The location was good. Thank you for the service.

On arrival was informed air con not working properly but a fan would be provided in the room. Once in the room it became obvious there was not fan. When requested manager provided us with a broken fan that made lots of unnecessary noise. When raised was told was the o ly fan available. Whole family had a terrible night's sleep as couldn't open the window due to outside noise and temperature was over 24 degrees. Found out the next morning that the heating had been switched on and was blasting hot air into the room all night. When raised at reception was informed they were aware of the issue but had failed to mention when checking in. We shared a family room to which one of the beds bedding had marks on and a long black hair was found in our bathroom. Food and drinks are overpriced and doesn't match the online options or prices. Staff are unaware of what's actually on offer on the website and some of the food we requested was unavailable. We had purchased breakfast included with our booking and decided to add the evening meal to. However they fail to inform you that some of the meals require and extra cost when vooking through the website and staff were unable to explain why this is. Overall we were all underwhelmed ith our stay and probably unlikely to stay at a travelodge again.

Awful experience. Booked a standard plus room and the only difference was having a coffee machine in there and it stated lots of other differences online! Was expecting a king size bed but only had a double. Everything else was the same as a standard room so don’t bother paying more for a plus room. Asked for more hot chocolate ect and got told no they could only give us 2 more if we was staying a second night aswell The young girl on reception with fake eyelashes was very very slow and didn’t know how to do stuff and kept having to ask another member of staff. She wasn’t professional at all Had to wait ages at reception everytime we needed to enquire about something and there was no apology when they finally came! Check out is at 12pm but we had cleaners knocking on our door at 10.30!

Sensor in room lit up like a christmas tree in the middle of the night. Strobe light effect coming from the sensor woke us up. Reported it to reception the next morning to be told ohhh that happened. Same thing happened the following night, again woke us up. Room 303 which was supposed to be an upgraded room. Breakfast was a sight to see the following morning, Told no tables available (even though we'd booked in advance) no bread for toast No Bacon, No Hash Browns, No Tomatoes, No Mushrooms, No Eggs. They only provide Scrambled eggs so if you dont like them you'll have to go without. No fried or poached eggs available Had to ask a member of staff if they could fill up the hot food, and when they asked what needs filing I said all of if. Plug hole in the shower had never been cleaned. Bathroom was tiny, if you are disabled in any way stay clear as its that small its hard to turn around. Shower head very poor, just picture the scene, you'll need to turn round like on a turntable to get wet. Towels were very thin off white and very old 2 lifts so that was good

Staff was welcoming, however the door to hotel corridors to the rooms was broken which means anyone could’ve entered, room was too hot and AC wasn’t working and windows kept locked, shower wouldn’t heat up
