Perfection from start to finish. I only wish we’d stayed longer. The service was exceptional and meals plentiful and delicious. I am so grateful to have numerous plant based options. The grounds are peaceful and artfully manicured. Pamper yourself at the spa with a variety of treatment rooms and hydropool. You can even stay in your robe all day if you’d like! The Monart is a special place that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Plan to spend a couple of days just enjoying the experience.

Wow, what a place! From a valet service to your luggage being taken to your room, this place is spot on. Nestled in an ideal location, the Monart is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places we’ve stayed in Ireland. From the moment you arrive, you’re pampered. You’re fed, watered, and treated like royalty. Everything you need is onsite, including a spa, gym, restaurants, and rooms. You’ll hardly get out of the comfortable esquiste robes provided (no need to overpack) The rooms are excellent, and the restaurants for dinner and breakfast offer mouthwatering options. The bar and cafe provide a variety of meals, and if the weather’s nice, you can enjoy them outdoors. The spa treatments are excellent, and the whole spa area provides an excellent detox environment. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

I was taken here to celebrate my 50th by my mum and 2 sisters. I used to think why would people spend so much for a night away and that it was throwing monet away. How wrong I was!!! We are going to book again next year. This place is incredible. Everyone you meet along the way are as nice as the next. We arrived in time for lunch at 1 and by the time we finished our rooms were ready. The lunch was gorgeous and we were so well looked after. We then got to our room and this is when I found out we were staying in the suites, 80 and 90. They were so beautiful and so well thought out. Complete luxury. We then ventured down to the thermal suite and tried out everything. An afternoon very well spent and finishing off with a siesta in the relaxation room. Bliss After showering and dressing up we headed for dinner...what an experience. Our meal was superb and once again treated like royalty. The next morning was sheer luxury going for breakfast and having such a fantastic selection to choose from. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank each and every person we came in contact with from check in, to everyone in the restaurants, to all in the spa and the hilarious hand over to our cars...you made not only my birthday but memories for our family that will last a lifetime. See you next March x

Wow, from the unassuming entrance, the tree covered narrow driveway leading to the old manor house, the immediate welcome and attention by the porter staff, the heated glass corridor leading from the beautiful old manor house to the very modern main resort building, the reception staff, Monart is definately a unique experience. The Griffin Brothers and Stephen Carr Architects have created a haven of peace and tranquility in this semicircular building set around a lake, woodland and gravelled pathways. At 64 bedrooms, king, twin and triple the resort is never noisy or crowded. The Garden Lounge serves casual food but at a very high standard. The main restaurant is excellent also. The Spa is unlike anything we have seen in the best of Irish hotels with a spa pool, salt grotto, and a range of thermal experiences. The quiet room relaxion area with its speciality teas and fresh fruit salad is an oasis of peace and calm. We enjoyed the treatment we booked and a light lunch in the Spa cafe. Monart is an adult only resort and while we visited, everyone respected the silence of the spa and bedroom areas. I never heard a loud voice or phone ring in our 48 hour stay. The staff are warm, friendly and very attentive and are to be commended for their professionalism. We can't wait to book our next visit.

Hands down best spa resort in Ireland. I have been here before with my husband, but came solo this time and once again it did not disappoint. It has everything you can think of x2 saunas, steam room, salt room, infra-red room, pool with so many types of relaxing jets, plunge area for your feet & legs & sinks for feet. X2 relaxation areas. I had a massage which was so relaxing & ordered room service to the room which was delicious, followed by a tasty breakfast in bed in the morning. Staff are outstanding. I saw other reviews about people talking aloud and yes this is the case for groups of women with no self awareness, however the onus is on them & not the staff to keep reminding them to be quiet, however this did not ruin the experience for me at all. I will 100% be back.

Decided to stay for New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day, as previously we had treated ourselves to a New Year’s Day stay. Everything was perfect from when we arrived & checked into our suite until the New Year’s Eve gala dinner. My husband told our server (Mary) about his Nut Allergy , her response, there’s a vegetarian menu also, we were both taken aback as up until then it was never a problem. I asked if he could have a protein without nuts, her response was NO, everything is already made up. My husband then asked if he could have items from the vegetarian menu as a swap for the items with nuts on the main menu, Mary’s response was again a firm NO, it’s one menu or the other. At this stage we were both looking at each other and deciding whether to get up and leave. She then came back and looked at my husband and said just for you they will do chicken as if it was a big deal and we had put the kitchen out by cooking a different protein. She never asked me what I wanted if I had any allergies or if I was vegetarian. There were breads on the table did she go through them with us , NO, so we didn’t have a clue what they contained again ( NUT ALLERGY) never took a wine order, that was the last time she came near us for some reason. I spotted Sean from the other restaurant they have and called him over to ask about the breads to which he in fairness went through with us. We had to call another waiter to place a drinks order. Then out he came to say that the wine we ordered was unfortunately not available and would we like to reorder, which we did. Then another waiter came to tell us again that the first wine we ordered was not available, we told him we were already told and another waiter arrived with our bottle of wine and to tell us it was the last bottle in the house and if we still wanted it. We said yes and said if we wanted more we would order obviously a different bottle. Out comes the food and one of the fish courses had the number 5 on its list of allergens (peanuts) but no description on the menu. Obviously my husband couldn’t touch it and the restaurant Manager Mate came over to ask him was everything ok. This is where everything changed. After explaining to him that he was not able to eat the food because of the nut allergy Mate took it away and asked my husband would he like something else. Totally fed up at this point he said no thank you. The mains arrived and to both of our surprise we had the same dish except my husbands didn’t have any nuts on it, no chicken to be seen either, Mate came over to check on us and that was the turning point of the night. He apologised for any disruption to our evening and to our surprise we were told we were not going to be charged for our bottle of wine as it was the last one in the house. The rest of the evening went without a hitch. The following night was a totally different experience, from the moment we walked in the hostess greeted us and when we were seated she let us know she knew about the but all

My Mother, Sister and I visit the Monart annually due to their exceptional customer service and facilities. Once again the Monart provided us with an amazing experience. From the first staff members you meet at the door, to reception, to the restaurant, every member of staff greats you with a smile. A special shout out to Andre in the spa. Hands down the best massage I’ve ever had! He is so professional and makes you feel totally relaxed and zen. I also had an amazing facial by Annalise. She is so kind and knowledgeable on all things skin care. I will not hesitate to request the availability of Andre and Annalise on my return and highly recommend. The skills and techniques that the spa staff have are on another level to any other spa destination I have been to. I can not wait to visit again.

Monart was everything we expected it would be. Check in was easy we parked the car outside and the concierge came out to take it and park it for us. We were greeted by a young man who was very helpful and walked us to reception. We checked in and were given a herbal tea which was lovely after a long drive. We got to our room and all we can say is wow the size of the room was amazing. We had dinner in the Garden lounge both nights we stayed and the food and staff were amazing. Shout out to Christian who told us to keep an eye out for the ducklings in the pond. The spa was amazing we honestly spent most of our time in thermal suite and relaxation suite. The spa was spotless at all times. We will definitely be back for more much needed relaxation we loved how it was phone free in almost all areas everyone needs a digital detox now and again. We had one small issue I was drying my hair on the first night and the hairdryer sparked red embers and cut off with a smell of smoke coming from it. I called the reception immediately and they sent a new hairdryer however I was really shaken as it had shocked my hand.

I was reading some reviews as my wife wishes to book some Spa Treatments. When I was reading the reviews I came across a review by someone from Galway about the food at Monart. I can only say that the food in Monart is only fabulous. Both my wife and I have been going to Monart for dinner since they opened 20 years ago, except for a brief spell about 3 years ago. The food and service have been nothing but great. Our only issue is that for non residents it’s a bit difficult to obtain a reservation.
