Had food here after doing a walk . Very disappointing. Ordered the chicken wings which were a very small portion for the price we paid . 17 euro for about 10 chicken wings with barely any meat on them and zero flavour . Food was overpriced and poor quality .

We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend a stay at the Glendalough Hotel. The Service was excellent, Barbara looked after us very well. All the staff were very attentive and lovely to deal with. The dinner menu was excellent as I am a vegetarian and there were 3 options for mains. We stayed for two nights and walked around glendalough and will be going back.

Very disappointing for the price Very unfriendly greeting from receptionist on arrival Extremely dated hotel needs full renovation No taxi service available Breakfast choices very limited - no fresh fruit , no pastries , cheap ingredients, dirty cups Room was clean , bed comfortable such a great location it’s just a shame the hotel does not do justice to the location

Very disappointed with my overall stay in the hotel. The staff were not particularly friendly and were very much under staffed. The hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. The carpets are worn and the wall paper is very much dated. The breakfast was particularly poor. The scrambled eggs must have been cooked for some time as they were completely dried out. On the plus side the the room is quiet and the bed was comfortable.

This was pretty good last year. Clean rooms, stellar location. This time was noticeably less accommodating. The breakfast was paltry, we got one pillow per person, flickering lightbulb. A hotel employee yelled at our adult kids, calling them street traders and to get off the property because they were sitting outside in the hotel SITTING area. Assuming because they were young that they weren’t guests. Bizarre with a half-assed apology and rude departure. The Location is amazing, but they are cutting corners for such a nice place. The restaurant is not good. Go to the Wicklow Heather down the road. I don’t know if this is under new management or just generally declining.

The Glendalough Hotel has been refurbished in recent times. It sits next to the beautiful Glendalough national park, where you can walk and hike. Gorgeous area. I can only comment on the food in the restaurant as I did not stay overnight. Lovely and attentive waiting staff. Menu for lunch was good, meat dishes, vegetarian option and a decent wine card. No fish option. Food was good. Restaurant is nicely decorated.

Hi stayed here with my husband for the second time.early Anniversary pressie.Bit disappointed with the room this time.couple of dirty marks on the carpet, really dirty window with took away from the stunning view.2 single beds pushed together which my husband had to lock together but there was still a gap not very comfortable.when you flushed the toilet it sounded like a fog horn very bad plumbing.Breakfast was an absolute nightmare we took a slot for 9 o clock when we arrived there was no fryed eggs or rashers people were standing around waiting for the food to arrive this should have all been ready.cold plates 1 poor girl yrying to bring teapots around and greet people arriving not her fault eventually Somerford reception arrived to help.when the food eventually arrived at different times it was cold and the eggs were undercooked an absolute shambles.when we were checking out we weren't asked did we enjoy our say very underwhelmed with it all.such a shame as Glendalough is such an amazingly stunning place but you can't think you can not keep up standards in hotel and people will return with services like that.

This has to be the worst place I've ever eaten in. We only had a sandwich and chips and it couldn't have been worse. The young staff were lovely and god love them. They were getting it from all sides. 4 people handed back dinners while we were there. Our sandwich was to be chicken and stuffing, it came out with no stuffing . There was no butter on the bread, there was one Mayonnaise sachet for 4 people. The bread was stale. Never again. I spoke with the Manager but it didn't seem to phase him. There are plenty of other lovely places around. Don't make the same mistake. It's expensive now to eat out the least you want to do is enjoy it. Not much to ask.

Had the worst experience.. got food literally thrown at us at the table .. mussels were very dodgy looking so I sent them back, the waitress looked at me up and down before saying "well that's not my fault". Bar was freezing.. staff very dismissive. Stay away at all costs
