Stopped here on my way south through Belgium from the Eurotunnel, a 2 hr drive. Nice modern hotel, ample parking, quiet location, family run. Good sized room with all the usual extras. Splendid restaurant, gourmet dining, food excellent. Also has a brasserie.

Probably best choice in Tielt and surroundings. Modern room, all facilities present, good restaurant, free parking. I'd like it; Glass walls for bathroom but this is not a problem. Very good heating system (i was in winter period)

Arrived on spec without booking at 05:30 as they opened. Staff very helpful, quick check in and a few hours sleep. Breakfast was over, but they still sorted us out something to eat. Very clean, tidy, staff efficient and helpful highly recommended.

Zaterdagavond 27 april 2024 naar het asperge festival gegaan in Shamrock. Voor de volledige vriendengroep was dit een zeer grote teleurstelling! Op de volledige menu die bestond uit een aantal gangen vonden amper 3 asperges terug, waren de porties zo klein dat we uiteindelijk geëindigd zijn met veel honger. Dit in tegenstelling met de vorige jaren waar we rijkelijk verwend werden en zonder honger van tafel gingen. Kers op de taart , op alle media en kaart op tafel staat All inclusive , terwijl om 22u45 onze tafel drankvrij werd gemaakt en alles betalend werd !!!!!

Het hotel heeft een leuke bar en inkomhal maar de kamers waren sterk veroudert. Het rook muf op de kamer en de badkamer was zeker aan vernieuwing/opfrissing toe. Vergeelde plastic, kapot hout door vocht naast het bad, kraan die slecht werkt,…. . Het ontbijt was basic maar goed.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, gezellige bar, zowel binnen als buiten, restaurant iets minder aangenaam, vrij donker, wel vriendelijk personeel, eten is ok. Er hangt een overdreven geur van parfum in de gang en in de hotelkamers, ik las reeds beoordelingen ivm sigarettenrook, maar dit proberen maskeren met een veel parfum maakt het niet beter, op de kamer direct het raam wagenwijd opengezet, de geur -van parfum- was amper te verdragen. Kamers zijn netjes, tof ingericht, maar ogen wel gedateerd, er is geen airco en ook geen vliegenraam aanwezig, met een slapeloze nacht door de muggen als gevolg. Ontbijt opnieuw ok, niet overdreven uitgebreid; maar goed. De ontbijtzaal is opnieuw gedateerd. Kortom: nood aan -stijlvolle- totaalrenovatie.

Waren er met 6 vrienden afgelopen maandag. Aperitief in de Annex, heel vriendelijk en verzorgt, maar zakje nootjes op tafel gesmeten....doch bestelden we met 6 verschillende cocktails. Na een paar keer het restaurant te hebben bezocht, waren we toch serieus teleurgesteld. We namen het menu, voorgerecht langoustines (te ver gebakken, waren bijna moes), met zoete aardappelpuree...ja, geen hoogvlieger. Ander voorgerecht, kalfszwezerik met risotto, lekker maar niet verfijnd. Hoofdgerecht lamskroon, te weinig gebakken, nog rauw, zelfs niet gekorst.., asperges lekker, cous cous, smaakloos....bruine saus, zeker uit een pakje ! Vis koningsbaars, te ver gebakken, met spirelli pasta (dacht dat we in de lunch garden zaten), dessert witte chocolade mousse, ja, idem dacht dat we in lunchgarden zaten. Wijnen wel lekker. Service vriendelijk, maar heel afstandelijk. Heeft toch wat van zijn pluimen verloren. Spijtig.
