Certainly wasn't the worst hotel I've stayed at, but not the best. On arrival we were advised the lift wasn't working, this would of been good to know before our stay as sometimes my knee plays up, we were placed on the top floor furthest from the stairs so was a little bit of a struggle. Hallways smelt like mould/sawdust/animal smell. Rooms were okay but had a few hairs in the bathroom and bed, floors felt sticky. Just generally felt run down and not overly clean. Restaurant is separate from the hotel and this is where breakfast etc takes place. We didn't have breakfast there but did have lunch and it tasted like frozen food heated up, wouldn't recommend eating there. If I was in the area probably wouldn't stay at this location again. Seemed an odd place for a premier inn as its within an industrial estate off the beaten track, but was about a 7 minute drive from an asda and the outlet mall

I travel a lot for work so seen I am accustomed to 'acceptable' accommodation. Cons - Arrived 6minutes before check in, told to wait despite room being ready. Understand it's policy but very odd it can't be at staff discretion - Looks generally run down - Smell upon entering room was mouldy, dusty. Came to a quick conclusion after seeing broken equipment in entrance hall and tape covering damage carpets walking to my room that asking to be moved wasn't going to make much difference - Heating system holding on for dear life. The moving vent kept getting jammed and would intermittently click/ping which kept waking me throughout the night (freeze or have disturbed sleep - choices!) - woken at 5am from people walking around in their room, walls very thin - grout in bathroom needs refreshing, every tile has mould somewhere around it. - general state of room, lamp switch button broken so have to balance the switch down to work. Vanity mirror light not working other side. Pros -Reception staff were chatty and polite - good size room - glad to had 2 options of pillows - bedding in clean condition

Staff and cleaning very good, bed very comfortable. Room and building very tired. Temperature in my room could not be reduced below 18 degrees and was constantly at 23 Deg resulting in difficulty sleeping and generally too hot. Windows in that part of building could not be opened so no possibility of any ventilation. So hot and clammy I was concerned about potential for legionella. Have stayed with premier inn at other locations and found them generally ok. Staff always very professional, beds always good.

No water glasses. Poor shower , thought plastic shower pipes were a thing of the past . Only one pillow . Wi fi erratic , kept cutting out . PLUS could someone please explain to me why these hotel chains ALWAYS put us as far away from reception as possible . Two long corridors plus up one staircase and off to the last one on that floor .

Hotel room was very hot and stuffy no where to put air conditioning on or open a window, one night of very uncomfortable sleep due to this. Room was comfortable. Breakfast wasn't great, very cold and sat under hot lamps for a while. No decaf coffee so had to bring my own to breakfast. Reception staff not very welcoming. Wouldn't stay here again.

This is a nice clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. It’s about 15 minutes drive from the tunnel so very handy for that. The main problem for me was the situation of the room. I booked an accessible room ant the room was fine but why do Premier Inn think that all people who have mobility issues use wheelchairs . Our room was about 70 metres from reception, why do they think that disabled people can walk that far? So if you have mobility issues be aware that you could have a long walk to your room

The hotel is in a commercial estate close to the M20 so don't expect to walk anywhere interesting close by. However, it is extremely cheap, the rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. There is a pub and restaurant next door but I didn't use it. I used the hotel before catching an early shuttle to France. It is a better and cheaper hotel than the one near the Tunnel in Folkestone.
