Griffin Hotel, an Official Colonial Williamsburg Hotel

There was shuttle car available for the guests within the historical areas. The drivers were really great.especially Adrian. Thank you for a great time.

Beautiful hotel and setting. Room was spacious with balcony view of the two ponds out back. Very relaxing. Check-in somewhat complicated, but staff was very helpful. Price was quite reasonable for a resort of this quality. We would definitely return!

Everything was great. If you are expecting more modern amenities, you'll have standard wifi. Very nice being on the Colonial park ans surrounding area.

Wonderful stay. The only difficulty would be finding the building at night. Poor lighting of the surrounding property. But the staff in the main building was very helpful and addressed the problem immediately.

Another nice stay at The Griffin. Very convenient to Golden Horseshoe Golf courses and to Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary

The room was clean, and the staff was helpful, but the property is outdated. And the Griffin building is separate from the hotel so you really don’t get the experience of staying there. And heaven forbid your key not work, which happened to me three times, because it means you have to return to the check-in at the main hotel. While you can walk to the main attraction of Colonial Williamsburg, for the price paid, I would not stay again.

While the room is clean enough, and certainly big, it’s outdated. The configuration is just odd. And while the staff checking me in was lovely, my room key quit working three times. And also the Griffin is far away from the rest of the hotel so every time the key quit working, it was a trek back to reception. And the building has no elevator. When I couple all this with the price per night, I have to say it was not a good value. (not to mention it was odd watching the sprinklers water the tennis court.)

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Our room was clean, large, beds comfortable, bathroom and two sink areas were convenient. The deck was overlooking a pond and a nice place to relax after walking the restoration area. Being close to the hotel and restaurants was perfect. And, the staff were exceptional.
