Glad to see it’s reopened under new management after 5 years.. Went for Sunday Roast.. It was excellent all round.. the food was delicious and plenty of it! Complimented by attentive service. We had the pork roast served with delicious & tasty vegetables mostly served as sides. We want to wish all the staff all the best for the future … Great Start!!!🤩🤩

My other review disappeared so here’s another. Fantastic food in a lovely place with great staff. Crazy value for money considering the quality of the chef’s work & ingredients. Recently reopened & not many folks have found the place. Dogs welcome, ample parking. Fantastic

A super meal, with gorgeous flavours , in a relaxed setting - and with lots of parking, unlike restaurants in town. Beetroot and goats cheese salad, charred Cornish mackerel, then chicken breast with chicken leg pie ( a lovely little pie about the size of a pork pie), with a a superb pan fried cod with a chorizo red pepper and butter bean stew, then a shared apple cheesecake with mango sorbet. Splendid !

So happy that this beautiful place is up and running again. I met Jasmin and James and wished them both good luck with their new venture. They were both lovely as were all the staff….. We just popped in for a drink to see how it was and had to have a little something before going home for dinner. I had the cheese and onion croquettes, amazing, as was my partners prawn and crab cocktail. Really looking forward to going back, probably next weekend…… So nice to see a small but inviting menu, so you know everything is fresh and hopefully very little waste. Great job guys. See you next week.♥️

Having been closed for five or so years, we were delighted to see that Drusilla's Inn had reopened under new management, and only ten days earlier in October 2024. So, we popped in to see what food was available. Wow, what a gorgeous old inn, and what a mouth-watering menu. We ordered two sandwiches, one steak and one club. Well, every mouthful was a taste sensation. The steak sandwich was so tasty, and my club sandwich felt like a small taster platter with pork belly, chicken and a perfectly runny fried egg. This was accompanied by triple cooked chips that simply don't come any better, and toasted sourdough bread that was delicious. We are really looking forward to another visit on our next trip to the New Forest. So, congratulations to the new team on presenting such a high quality meal to kick off your exciting new venture, and our very best wishes for the future. ps Obviously disregard any former reviews before 2024.

Today’s experience under new ownership was outstanding, we were welcomed by the lovely team, they smiled, made us feel welcome and genuinely cared. We both ordered roast dinners, my partner had the pork and me being a difficult vegetarian asked for a roast with no meat. The chef made an effort to make me something different I had roasted pumpkin and it was AMAZING - my partner and I go out every Sunday for roast dinners and this was by far the best roast dinner we’ve had in Dorset. The potato’s, the veg and the service was incredible. My partner is a fussy eater and said it was the best food he’d had in a long long time. I couldn’t rate this higher and the lovely talented chef came out afterwards to greet us. All I can say is this is now our firm favourite. we will be there again.

Just wanted to say as we drove past yesterday, said it will be re opening soon under new management. This will be very welcome news to all who have used this pub. I will definitely be a new customer here as always wanted to visit it! It looks as though it till needs a lot of work done.
