Our first date was here in 1978 and we have revisited a few times. The rooms are lovely, we splashed on sea facing with a balcony. The less fancy Brasserie food was more to our taste on this visit.We found the more expensive one serving only tasting menus was too refined for us, by the sea, what could better a good piece of turbot? This was a bit foamy,dotted and smeared though very pretty.

Lovely hotel, superb location, superb food and welcoming patient staff: I say patient as my French is not that good and they let me try without feeling I was stupid. The restaurant was packed with locals the Tuesday after new year and in the middle of a heavy storm 70mph wind and rain; that’s how good it is. Just book don’t take my word for it. The beach and town are nice too

Room 303 - A gorgeous large room overlooking the sea from the third floor. Nicely decorated in natural colours and blues. Fantastic views over the sea from the balcony with two chairs and a table - although we were there during a storm so there was no chance to sit on the balcony! The bathroom was small but with a good shower over the bath and a separate WC opposite the bathroom. Big comfy bed, sofa bed, table and two chairs, fridge, kettle, two tiny mugs. Lots of shelves and a hanging rail. Not many charging points; only on one side of the bed. Wi-Fi was fast but had to log on every time we came back to the room. Home made biscuits on arrival. The location is wonderful; opposite the sea and a short walk into the town. Parking (free) behind the hotel in a small but secure area. Breakfast buffet with eggs, cheese, ham, yogurt etc. expensive at €22 each.

This is a delightful hotel, overlooking the promenade and the beach. There are lovely sea views throughout, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. There is always a warm welcome from the staff, and complementary sweet treats waiting in the room to go with a cup of tea/coffee on arrival. Both the bistro and the ichelin-starred restaurant serve delicious food.

I’ve been lucky enough to stay in some of the most wonderful hotels in the world but Hotel Atlantic is the friendliest, warmest, most welcoming place I have ever stayed in. Fabulous staff who cannot do enough for you. A true hidden gem that delivers a very special experience. Thank you Atlantic!

Very comfortable small hotel right in the seafront with seaview from every room (18 only) . Light and spacious rooms nicely decorated and impeccably clean. Warm and friendly service. 2 great restaurants on the premises. And a private secure carpark, an invaluable bonus in this popular resort.

WE have just enjoyed a night at the Atlantic and wish we could have stayed longer. It's a lovely hotel in a perfect location, right on the beach with fabulous sea views. The reception staff were helpful and friendly and the room superb. The main restaurant, La Liegeoise was closed (as it was Monday) but we had a delicious meal in their second restaurant L'Aloze. We had an excellent undisturbed sleep in a comfortable bed . I imagine this would be a good hotel for children as the beach is easy to access with no roads to cross. There is free secure parking. We loved Wimereux !

This hotel is situated right on the promenade with views over the sea. The staff are so friendly and helpful...and the food is wonderful, both in the restaurants and for room service. There is always a little sweet treat waiting for you to have with a cup of tea or coffee in your room on arrival, and everything is organised to make your stay a real pleasure.
