The hotel is a classic building itself and the surrounding area is very peaceful and beautiful. The breakfast is very good and eating by the window is so wonderful. Except the bathtub which my room did not have, the hotel is a good place to stay.

My family had a great time. The view was stunning. The staff was helpful. The surrounding was great.

Very good service in general and beautiful scenery

The English-style house is located along the lakeside, with a large lawn. It is so quiet that people don't want to leave after sitting and watching the scenery. Going out for vacation is to find this kind of quiet and comfortable feeling.

The service was very good. The room was different from the size we booked. We booked a 30-square-meter room. We couldn't move much after we checked in. The breakfast and dinner services were very good. Because the hotel is on the second floor and there is no elevator, the front desk waitress and the cleaning staff helped us carry our three pieces of luggage to the room.

Overall, I am quite satisfied: Located by Lake Windermere, 5 minutes by taxi from the town center, the restaurant's food tastes good, the scenery is very elegant, and the room is spacious, bright and clean.

The hotel has two restaurants, lake edge is more formal (also where breakfast is served), and there is a small restaurant with modern decoration. The dishes are very good, the portions are also quite large, and it is super value. The hotel does not have an elevator. The luggage attendant will help deliver it to the room, but you have to be mentally prepared to climb the stairs every day. Fortunately, it is not high. British hotels do not put toothbrushes and razors in the room. You need to ask for them at the front desk, but this is the only one that needs to pay for toothbrushes separately, 2.5 pounds a pair. It is three kilometers away from the center of Windermere. There is only one bus line 6 to get there, but the frequency is very rare, basically every two hours. You can either walk or take a taxi to get in and out. Overall, I am satisfied. It is also a luxury hotel ranked among the top in the Lake District, but it has a strong sense of age. There is no elevator, but staff can carry luggage. But it is more suitable for self-driving friends. There are very few bus trips and you can only take a taxi. In the Lake District, there are only local taxis and no Uber.

The room is small and is charged per person. Children are charged whether they eat breakfast or not.
