Mercure Hotel Windhoek
"Our hotel check-in experience was quite messy. We booked a room at Mercure, but upon arrival, we were directed to the adjacent Mövenpick for check-in. After waiting for half an hour, we were assigned a room, only to find it was a twin room. We went back to request a change, waited another half an hour, and were told there were no king-size beds available. Eventually, we were moved back to the Mercure. Apparently, other colleagues who also booked king-size rooms at Mercure initially received twin rooms as well. The breakfast arrangements were also unclear. For the first couple of days, we were told to go to Mövenpick for breakfast, but then a few days later, we were instructed to go back to Mercure."

Hotel Heinitzburg
"Beautiful hotel with large, nicely decorated rooms. Good-sized bathroom with a good shower. A rock-hard bed. Not really walking distance to anywhere, but great views of the city. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet at night. Very good breakfast serviced in a tranquil setting."
House on Olof Palme
"Great place to start our trip in Namibia! Lovely house, warm people!"
Eden Self Catering Chalets
"We had a pleasant stay, lovely surroundings. good service, average room and amenities and excellent food in the restaurant."
Belvedere Boutique Hotel
"For us Austrians, the Belvedere Hotel (named to a famous castle in Vienna) was a great place to stay the first and very last night of our 2 weeks Namibia-trip. Price-value is rather fair and hotel well protected to feel save any time!"
Hotel Pension Casa Africana
"This hotel is the perfect start and end of your Namibian adventure! Conveniently located, will not break the bank. The staff is lovely and warm yet very professional. Every corner is clean and wonderfully maintained. The hotel manager keeps a quiet watchful eye on operations and you will feel well taken care of. "
Casa Blanca Boutique Hotel Pension
"First visit. Stayed two nights. One at the start of the visit and one at the end. A packed breakfast was provided to help with an early start on first stay. Overall a very pleasant experience. All the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Rooms good size, with good AC. Overall happy to recommend"
Protea Hotel Windhoek Fürstenhof
"Wish I could give this a good review or even say it was average. Love the Protea Line of Hotels. Unfortunately, the rooms are outdated and worn. They moved us, as I was deeply concerned when the last time the Aircon Units had been cleaned in the first room. They appear to be updating room by room. They really need to invest more in property. The Staff were fine. The younger Staff were outstanding."
Our Habitas Namibia
"Overall, the service was good, but the presence of rats in the room was quite frightening."
Auas Safari Lodge
"Auas was our first night after arrival and I was not expecting much. How wrong I was. The landscape of the Auas mountains is so beautiful we didnot want to leave. People were so friendly, deluxe rooms really great and food simple but very good. But what was really surprising was the game next morning. In fact it was one of the three best game drives in a three weeks holiday, with big herds of brown gnus, elands, oryxes, lots of ostriches, impala, springbuk, steenbuk, some foxes, chacals, dikdiks, vultures …and beautiful giraffes in front of majestic mountains. Not 5 minutes without an animal in sight. Petrus was a fantastic and nice guide. So, don’t think twice: Auas is the perfect start to your journey. Love this place."
Windhoek Country Club Resort
"Sylvia and Sebastian in the reception makes a great job. Beautiful hotel with new pool and best best food"
Guesthouse Terra Africa
"We stayed here on the first day of our tour and again on the last. The rooms are fine and the breakfast is extensive. The garden is beautiful but could use some updating. Some chairs are broken and the pool looks dirty. The staff is helpful and friendly. We wanted to go into the “town” and they arranged a taxi service with Simon. He takes you there and picks you up because the guesthouse is too far to walk. We had lunch once. They have a small menu."
Villa Moringa Guesthouse
"Definitely not worth 5 stars! The entire building is extremely overdue. Broken chairs and sunbeds, mold running from the pools. The breakfast was very poor. Some fruit, white bread and yogurt without bowls to put it in. We had a good laugh about it and are glad we went out for a nice meal last night instead of eating here. The room was full of dead moths, but was okay for a night. Few staff walking around and those walking around can't even say hello."
Hotel Uhland
"I stayed at Hotel Uhland in Windhoek for four weeks with colleagues during a business trip, and it was an excellent experience overall. The rooms and all the facilities were always very clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay each day. The staff at the hotel were consistently friendly and went out of their way to help with anything we needed, whether it was local recommendations or assistance with plans for weekends. The hotel’s relaxed atmosphere was perfect after long workdays, and it’s clear that guest comfort and satisfaction are a priority here. I truly appreciated how attentive and accommodating the staff were throughout our stay. If you are visiting Windhoek for business or leisure, I highly recommend Hotel Uhland for its great service, cleanliness, and friendly team"
