TaTe Village ★★

📍 113 John Meinert Street, Windhoek

"The room had a separate table and chairs and a very large wardrobe. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean and hygienic with a beautiful and comfortable environment. The service was especially excellent; the front desk staff promptly resolved any issues I might have. Although I don't speak English, they were very patient and supportive. Thank you."

"Location is center! Careless staff, heater in room not working, we call reception came checked and said they will bring heater to room, that heater never cane to our room. WiFi not working we called reception they said we will bring new code to your room, we said we just got a code downstairs an hour ago and that was working staff said manager likes to change the code. WHAT! WHY?! That’s annoying keep changing code. However the code never came to our room. 45 min later we are in bed reception calls our room asking if we still need heater ? What a joke ! Phone in room is not dialing the reception so we had to keep going down the stairs if we needed something."

Eden Self Catering Chalets Hotels in Windhoek

Eden Self Catering Chalets

"We stayed at Eden Chalets (outside Windhoek) on 7 Sept 2024, on our way to Sesriem in the south of Namibia. We slept in Sable chalet, consisting of a kitchen, lounge (with TV), bedroom, en suite bathroom and a spacious veranda. We watched the match between the Springboks and the All Blacks at the bar / restaurant. Dinner was very tasty. Our stay there was very enjoyable and relaxing. We can honestly recommend Eden Chalets for more than one day's stay over. Win and Jose Vieira"

Hotel Heinitzburg Hotels in Windhoek

Hotel Heinitzburg

"Immaculate boutique hotel with wonderful views over Windhoek. Fabulous staff - shout out to Sade in particular - all polite, friendly and eager to help and advise. Pool area and surrounding gardens very well kept. Breakfast lovely. Leo’s at the Castle - staff very attentive, service superb, wine good, food somewhat over promised and under delivered. Hard to pin point exactly why but not as wowed as we expected. Perfectly pleasant meal though. Lovely place to start our Namibia trip. Highly recommend."

"This is an excellent hotel positioned well for car pick up from Gowana, wonderful staff, great abilities, the only problem we have was our air-conditioning in the executive room was not functioning. However, the food and the staff are excellent and the rooms were well decorated and nicely laid out. Excellent Wi-Fi, and a great mix of businesses on site "

Arebbusch Travel Lodge ★★★
"I chose this hotel because it's right next to the shuttle bus stop for the Namib Desert. The property is quite large, and it's a bit of a trek with heavy luggage from the entrance where the security guard is. It's essentially designed for travelers with cars, allowing you to park right next to your room. The room amenities and cleanliness are perfectly adequate. The restaurant food is also delicious. If they just added a convenience store or a small shop, you could pretty much do everything you need within the hotel itself."

"The sheets and pillowcases in the room seemed to have never been changed. It is recommended to bring disposable pillowcases and dirty sheets, or sleep in your clothes. Why did I choose this hotel? It's not because it's cheap, because I'm traveling alone, I can make friends, and I can travel together. As a result, no one came to share the room with me for 2 days. There is a supermarket nearby, but the price is expensive. You can take a taxi to the big supermarket in the city center to buy things. There are cheap and fresh things. Taxis are cheap, prepare change, they don't accept US dollars. The exchange rate at the airport is a little worse than the money exchange places in the city. If you want to change 50 to 100 US dollars, change it at the airport. It's more than 2 kilometers from the hotel. There are many places with slopes in the city. It is recommended to call a taxi and negotiate the price before getting on the car."

"During my stay, the shower was leaking and basic amenities were missing. I had to request the amenities three times before they were finally provided. Considering the price, the level of service was disappointing."

"WiFi, a bathtub, big and small. There are shopping malls and supermarkets downstairs. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the scenic spots. The sunset on the 15th floor of the top floor is very beautiful. It is the best hotel in the city."

Auas City Hotel ★★★
"Hotel is on the outskirts of Windhoek near a mall, with limited nearby dining options. Rooms are cramped but ok. Check in is a bit slow and they’re strict on the check in time. Only 1 key provided which was annoying with a shared room. Dinner and breakfast and the bar were great. Free water bottles were appreciated. Would consider this hotel again if I don’t need to be in the city centre."
