Hotel Crystal Mountain ★★★★★

"Pros - beautiful location with stunning views, modern and spacious rooms, multiple amenities for little children Cons - non-existent service, no desire to help/solve anything and a very limited command of English What differentiates 2 star vs 5 star hotel is the level of provided service. Unfortunately, the Crystal resort did not deliver. We could not get the temperature in our room below 26 degrees. When I called the reception, they tried to persuade me that our balcony door must be opened. Indeed, it was not. The A/C maintenance guy who came in just decreased the setting to 18 degrees when I explained to him that the system was not cooling the room the entire night. His answer was ‘It’s 30 degrees outside, you can’t expect anything else’. Well, we didn’t pay to sweat all night. The food was limited but good - however, don’t expect any service either. The servers are there purely to pick up dirty dishes. The parking is laughable at 70 pln per night when right outside the entry door is a surface parking lot for half. The cherry on a cake was during our check out. The entire property including the amenities is accessible only with the room card. After we checked out at 10:30 am, I wanted to take my son to the playground before leaving the hotel - not knowing how much drama that would be. The front desk personnel informed me that they can’t let me keep the card without extending our room reservation. Essentially, people cannot use any facilities before/after they check in/out. Never have I ever experienced this ‘non-issue’ in any other 5 star property. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else."

"We were accommodated at the Hotel Vestina in Malinka from 16 to 19 June 2026. At first, the hotel made a great impression on us. Excellent cuisine and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the last night of our stay was absolutely appalling. At 10:00 PM, when Poland has a "nightly silence", a party started with very loud music from other guests. I called the reception, where I was told that these events are common in the Hotel and it is normal and that the party will end at midnight. However, the music continued. Given that we had room 123, which was directly above the restaurant where the party was taking place, we could not sleep at all. At 1:16 AM, I personally went to the reception to ask for the event to end. There was no one at the reception and when we finally got a receptionist, he told us that the event would continue until 2:00 AM and was permitted by the hotel manager and that the manager would do nothing about it. The party actually ended at 3:00 AM, so we didn't get any sleep. I think the main purpose of the hotel is to stay overnight and no one should be disturbed by loud music late at night. Moreover, the receptionist was not able to ensure peace and quiet."

"Excellent stay. Beautifully located, big comfortable rooms, lovely interior. Superb breakfasts and great dinners. Stayed for 4 days, went for a few walks in the location hills and did a couple of drives to surrounding historical towns ( Cieszyn, Zywiec )."

"The hotel was very nice, but the service also needs improvement. The pool and jacuzzi were definitely too small for the number of guests. Another issue was the lack of clear rules regarding the use of this area. Guests entered without showering first, sweating, and went straight to the wellness area. There were no clear rules regarding security deposits and parking fees, and cleaning and restocking the hotel services were also only after a reminder. A romantic getaway at this price was no different from a regular stay, so why overpay? The spa treatments were also half-available, including massage butters. I think you could expect more for this price."
