The Talbot Inn
"We’ve just returned from a fantastic one-night stay at The Talbot Inn and couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. We chose the hotel for its convenient location ideal for visiting nearby attractions (The Farmers Dog, Didly squat, Blenheim Palace and surrounding village) and it proved to be the perfect base. The staff were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. We booked a Deluxe Room with breakfast and phoned ahead to request a pet-free room. This was handled without any issue, as the hotel keeps a selection of both pet-friendly and pet-free rooms. I would recommend calling in advance if you have specific requirements. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches including tea and coffee facilities, biscuits, and a choice of regular or oat milk cartons, as well as fresh milk available from the bar. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries such as shower gel, soap, body lotion, shampoo, and even a shower cap. Additional conveniences like irons, ironing boards on the landing, and umbrellas by the entrance showed real attention to guest comfort. Although we didn’t have dinner at the hotel restaurant because of prior plans, it was very busy when we returned and the food looked excellent. Breakfast the following morning was fresh and delicious, with a great selection of pastries, cereals, fruit, and a full English option. We would happily stay here again on our next visit and look forward to trying the evening menu next time."
Witney
"Prices are good for the room, which was clean and comfortable. As per other recent reviews, there was an issue with the restaurant being closed, however as we had already visited the McDonalds next door prior to arrival, and were leaving before 6am, we had no concerns about searching around for food. Receptionist seemed overworked but greeted us pleasantly. Air-conditioning is noisy, but our tip is to just turn it off at bedtime."

Rose Revived by Chef & Brewer Collection
"I stayed here as part of walking the Thames Path. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet - much needed after the walk from Lechlade. The food was good for both the evening meal and breakfast. The staff were also friendly and accommodating."
