La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Woodway - Waco South

I loved it

Was very disappointed that I am a paying guest and I’ve been standing in line for breakfast behind the employees. The employee should not be eating breakfast when the guests are coming downstairs. I understand times are hard but we’re paying gas. That means employees need to move out of the way. Would have given a lower score but not for the integrity of the other crew. We an expensive Yeti water bottle, and a morning crew member held onto it for us to go pick it up.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the hotel was in a good location with good parking. There were cookies for us upon arrival. There were plenty of towels in our room both days.The pool and hot tub are inside…..not outside as the ******* page says. ******* says that breakfast starts at 6, but in reality it started at 7. That was difficult as many of the guests were there for Baylor’s homecoming weekend and had to leave before that for the homecoming parade. I called the front desk to notify them and they made an adjustment for us which I appreciated. Overall our stay was great and they allowed my college son (who was not a guest) to join us for breakfast which was very kind. I would definately stay there again. I gave four stars for the following reasons. While the hotel was nice there were some easy improvements they could make. The hairdryer was small and reminded me of a toy. There was no security box or safe in our room so I had to take our passports everywhere. The only mirror in our room was the one in the bathroom so while someone was in the bathroom I had no mirror. Would be nice to have a full length mirror somewhere. The area around the sink was small so had limited area to set my things and water ran from the faucet and made my things wet. And when I came back in the evening for a cup of tea or hot chocolate, the hot water was empty though the staff was pleasantly rushing to fill it.

Area felt safe and was clean, hotel was clean, employee was super nice checking us in and also when we talked to her a few more times. Breakfast was the usual but good. Room was clean and comfortable. The R&R room was great to soak in spa tub before bed and then again in the morning. I can’t think of one bad thing about this place.

My Stay My Key to open door was a problem to open. I had to go to the front desk numerous times. They should of taken the early check in fee off to accommodate my discomfort but they didn’t shame on them.

Great night sleep. Close to the end of a road trip. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Everyone was helpful, pleasant and professional. Enjoyed my stay.
