Amazing place, very unique experience. Great food in both quality and taste. The only con is we came here in summer. It’s a little bit hot because there is no air condition in the tent. However, it’s still highly recommended to visit at least once.

This was a perfect romantic weekend away, everything was very well thought of. It was a quiet & really relaxing atmosphere in the middle of the forest, not many people around and we were able to fully disconnect. We arrived around 2pm and there was afternoon tea ready for us to enjoy (cakes& tea) which was carefully curated. Dinner & breakfast was included and the food was in both occasion delicious and very high quality. They even packed us a lunch to take with us on our last day which was made with love once again. All staff were lovely too. Would highly recommend!!!

We generally go overseas for my birthday, but this year we decided to travel around in our caravan. During our four-night stay in Huskisson, we decided to book into the Paperbark Camp for the actual night of my birthday and the whole experience could not have been bettered. We had plenty of time for a walk around the Wetlands area where we met three kangaroos. Our tent, the Possum, was wonderful (and so reminiscent of those we stayed in on safaris last year). We just loved the ‘indoor/outdoor’ feel of the bathroom with excellent toiletries, towels, etc. Even the inability to use a hairdryer didn’t matter as my hair quickly dried sitting out on our wonderful deck taking in the sights and sounds. Our pre-dinner cocktails (Pink Negroni) so tasty, followed by an excellent dinner, and a complete surprise of my birthday cake/candle. The bed was very comfortable providing a wonderful night's sleep. Our stay ended with breakfast in Gunyah in the treetops. Wonderful.

A completely unique experience is how I regarded our stay in the Sugar Glider cabin at Paperbark Camp. Surrounded by wildlife and woodland, kangaroo family passing our tent whilst we watched from our bed early this morning. King Parrot just chilling out near the front steps and the incredible bird song waking you first thing in the morning. If you can’t handle mosquito nets and bugs along with the outdoors close to coming inside with you this place is not for you - however if you want to get up close and personal with nature this place is fantastic. You almost feel like you are on safari (even the tents are from Africa). It’s glamping at its best and a fantastic experience. Breakfast was excellent. A game of back gammon with red wine in the evening beside the fire even better. We heard the restaurant was excellent but did not eat at the property…. Maybe next time. Thank you Paperbark.

Paperbark Camp in Jervis Bay offers a unique mix of comfort and wilderness. The safari-style tents were spotless and well designed, with an open-air bath and shower that made the most of the bush surrounds. From our deck we watched kangaroos grazing, and woke each morning to birdsong. Dinner at The Gunyah was a highlight – fine dining showcasing local and native ingredients in creative dishes. The setting in the treetops made it even more memorable. We also enjoyed the wetlands walk, which we had entirely to myself – peaceful and restorative. What stood out was the camp’s commitment to preserving the environment while delivering a very high standard of comfort. Paperbark is thoughtfully run, environmentally conscious, and beautifully located – an excellent choice if you want to slow down and experience Jervis Bay in a more sustainable way. We’d love to return!

Architect designed with both the environment and guest experience in mind, Paperbark Camp is ecotourism at its best, managing to provide a beautiful and comfortable base from which to explore the local area and to enjoy the tranquility of this natural Australian bushland setting.
Located on the banks of the Currambene Creek, Jervis Bay, Paperbark Camp is ideal for those who love being close to nature, but appreciate life's little luxuries, not to mention wonderful food prepared daily by the camps chefs using local produce.
Accommodation consists of elevated safari style tents that have their own open-air ensuite bathroom with bath, King/Twin beds, luxury 100% cotton linen and towels, locally made furniture as well as a wrap around verandah for sitting and enjoying the sounds of the bush.
The Gunyah provides a central communal area for eating and relaxing with outside dining on the verandah during the warmer months, and in the colder months an open fire creates a cosy atmosphere for reading, playing games or sharing travel adventures with other guests.
Activities within the camp include canoeing, bike riding, bushwalking, birdwatching & spotlighting. Or spend an afternoon on the verandah reading that book you have been meaning to get to for ages, keeping an eye out for a passing kangaroo or the majestic black cockatoo.
Jervis Bay itself offers spectacular diving, snorkelling, bushwalking in the Booderee National Park, beautiful beaches, surfing, dolphin, whale and seal watching, golf and tennis. A short scenic drive away is Arthur Boyds Bundanon, local vineyards with cellar doors as well as the regional villages of Berry and Kangaroo Valley.
Paperbark Camp offers tranquility, seclusion and relaxation in a unique and comfortable environment- a welcome retreat in todays hectic world.
