Words cannot express how magnificent Prince Hill House is. Lucy has restored it in a manner befitting its history. Lucy had upgraded us to a suite, which was delightful, and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. We were given the choice of having breakfast downstairs or eating at our leisure in our suite. We chose the latter, and Lucy brought everything to us, including delicious homemade jam and yoghurt. We were also lucky enough to be shown around the house before we left and so we were able to enjoy its beauty and learn more about its restoration. We only stayed for two nights, unfortunately, but we hope to return when we visit Wiltshire in the future. Thank you, Lucy, for making us so welcome.

The house contains lovely, calm spacious rooms full of charming and intriguing touches. The owner was good company, helpful, creative and caring. She has turned her home into a place full of delightful elements that make staying there feel restorative and life enhancing and the very opposite of the draining blandness and weird obsequiousness of many other hotels and B&Bs. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with unusual dishes. Expect to share the large breakfast table with people you don’t know, giving you the opportunity to meet new and interesting people. Our stay there added to our experience of being in that area, and became an integral part of that happy weekend.

Prince Hill house is such a find. A truly beautiful and authentic country house that has been lovingly restored by its owner Lucy. Both Lucy and the house itself gave us the warmest of welcomes and we felt relaxed and comfortable from the moment we stepped over the threshold. We stayed in The Aviary which offers a lounge, small kitchen and 2 beautiful spacious bedrooms. Exceptional value for money given the grandeur of the rooms and surroundings and our host was wonderful. We loved it here and will definitely be returning soon.
