The hotel is in a good location. It is very close to the Bishop's Palace, the fortress and the old bridge, and it is furnished with a sense of history and artistic style. The room also has water and two bottles of wine, which is great! The only regret is that the hotel itself has its own parking lot, but because I ca n’t speak English well, I parked my car in a public parking lot, and I have to pay, if the hotel waiter can take it to the parking lot!

We reached the hotel about 2H before the check in time, which is not unusual for us. Sometimes, we are offered a room immediately on arrival, or are informed that OUR room would ready by such & such time. Nothing of this sort happened at Motel One Wurzburg. The first impression that we got was that we were at a Homeless Shelter & not a modern chain Hotel where we had a confirmed Booking. The receptionist (Eduardo) kept on repeating that we do not have any room, we do not have any room. NEVER did he once said that YOUR room is not ready at this moment, but it would be by 3 pm. Even when I came back for Checking in at 3pm he was in no hurry to allot me a Room. I had never felt so INSECURE in an Hotel before. I did not even knew that whether I will ever get a room or not. The hotel has a beautifully designed lobby & lounge, and it is situated at a very central location. It could have been THE Hotel to stay in Wurzburg because of its excellent pricing, but the apparent arrogance & complete lack of empathy towards the guests makes it the most undesirable place to stay in Europe.

We traveled as a family to Wurtzburg for 2 nights. It's your typical chain hotel but there were two issues for our family. 1. The shower was a danger zone. You had to climb over the tub and there wasn't much of anything to grab onto except the towel rack. It had a partial glass door on the tub so you couldn't grab that as it moved. To add to the danger, the bathtub floor was slippery. Three members of our traveling group are seniors, but even younger me felt unsafe getting in and out. 2. If you are driving a larger car like we were and are not an experienced European driver then both the surface parkade and underground parkade are not suitable. Thankfully there was a huge parking lot just across the street and down a very short way. The breakfast was very good, they had lots of variety. The room was clean, and the location was great. For dinner, we went to the beer garden across the street and it was very good. If it wasn't for the dangerous bathtub situation, I would have given this hotel 4 stars.

We stayed 5 nights here - visiting Wurtzburg for a wedding. I booked it originally because it had a pool ( a must have when travelling with an 11 year old!) The hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The receptionists were friendly and helpful at all times. All the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. And the breakfasts were a delight - not just the range of food and helpful staff but the view of the castle and the sunny terrace. The pool was a decent size - changing rooms were very good…fresh flowers there a nice touch, My husband and I were delighted with this charming hotel. My son said his favourite part of our stay in wonderful Wurtzburg were ‘the breakfasts’ and ‘the pool’ !

We liked it. Our room on the 7th floor had a good view of the Marian Fortress. Old town very easy to reach on foot. The car was allowed to park in the parking garage for 12 euros per day. Almost all staff at reception, all of the room and breakfast service were noticeably friendly and helpful.
Had booked a 2 bed room, then received a double bed room.
We were disappointed by the now closed fitness and wellness area. It's really a shame and misleading that the portals sometimes advertise it in pictures and in writing.

What a great little hotel! I stayed here for 5 nights in October. My room was good for a single person. It might be a tighter fit for 2. My room was tiny. The bed was quite comfortable, considering others I've slept on in Germany. The pillows were pretty good. a full length mirror, a TV, and a wire rack to hang clothes. I was OK with it because I didn't want to hang out in my room. No coffee maker, no refrigerator. My room was very quiet. The bathroom is one of those that has a shower in the corner. Not a separate shower. The floor gets wet no matter how you hard you try. The curtain just isn't big enough. Another annoyance. The bathroom light was on automatic, so if you rose in the middle of the night to use it (jet lag anyone)? the light turns on automatically super bright, like those at a football stadium. It's hard to resume sleep after that. Breakfast was included and it was a pretty good selection. The usual Euro fare, meats, cheese, etc. lots of bread, eggs, bacon, and a wide selection of cereals. There is a bar there, though small and they will cook a decent burger or quick food upon request. The Hotel is very new and clean. A younger crowd stays there, but it's not uncomfortable if you're older. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. They spoke English well and I heard other languages also. It is within walking distance of the Old Town although its a longer walk so be prepared. Lots of restaurants and other things to do and see are also within walking distance. Wurzburg is a beautiful city and you could do a lot worse than the Moxy.

Was here for a short stay. But the services are wonderful, the room are superb, all necessary things like kettle, ironing board, welcome gifts are there. Spaces to do some works, chill out and drinks coffee are good too! Best hospitality! Would definitely come again. The bus stop is just right in front of the hotel if you come from the Central Station direction. But the bus stop to go in the oposite direction is a like 300m you have to walk a bit.

Very Good
WWeil-ich-es-kannWhen I come to Würzburg, then very happy to go to Hotel Residence. Here you are in the middle of the city. Admired as with friends has really good rooms. And when you go to the staircase or lift, you see Franz Mohr left as a rider of the gifts. Whoever comes to Würzburg and who wants to be in the middle of the city, but still wants to rest, he is right here.
GGuest UserRooms very small and convenient, very clean, great mattresses, kissing very thin, small convenient bathroom, very clean. Breakfast was ok, sausage poor quality, friendly employees, I would like to emphasize Mrs Rosenberger - stay as they are - super friendly, extremely helpful and colleagues (fortunately forget names, Origin Marokkaner said) he also very friendly. Come back and will also like to recommend the hotel
GGuest UserWe selected this hotel because it is near the uniclinical clinic. It is only 15 minutes walking distance. A parking place in front of the house and a super bus connection to the city. We will certainly come back to this hotel.
LLUWarm and comfortable, clean and refreshing, it is a very satisfying hotel in Würzburg, Germany. Although the weather is cold, the room is very warm and dry, suitable for couples and families.
GGuest UserWell, one hostel had to be worst of my trip. I just wish it hadn't been quite SO bad. I could talk about their deceptive business practices. I could talk about the horrendous customer service. I could talk about the outrageous price. Instead I'll just say this. How on earth does a hostel only open their reception between 6pm and 8pm? You literally have two hours where you're allowed to check-in. Your train arrives at 4? Tough luck, gotta wait. Had a delay and arrived 8:30? Thanks for your money, but you ain't sleeping here. They don't even have a phone number in case any of their current guests have a problem. Lost your key or someone stole your wallet in the middle of the night? Good luck finding a bench to sleep on. They say it's because of covid, but covid exists in all of Europe. Are all the other hostels in Europe also closing at 8? Right, didn't think so. The reality is that this is because the manager is a cheapskate with zero regard for their guests.
GGuest UserBreakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value
PPINGThe hotel is very convenient to travel across from the railway station. The front desk clerk is very enthusiastic, especially after we checked out, we took the luggage and prepared to leave. He took the initiative to help us carry the two boxes to the roadside downstairs. There were roughly a dozen steps at the entrance of the hotel without elevator luggage. Can only be carried by hand
Hotel is located quite close to the city center and not too far off of the Main Bike Trail . Positives : Elevator. Room quite large with large couch and comfortable bed . Bathroom large, modern and clean . Adjacent garage for inside bike storage . Reception at check in was very friendly . Negatives : Our room #4 as well as #5 are on the same level and about 10ft/3m from the Beer Garden at the same level and immediately outside our windows . It was our good luck that the Beer Garden was closed for the 2 days we were there or sleeping and privacy would have been impossible. The closest electric receptacle was at least 10ft. from the head of the bed - not an optimal location . The garage was left open all day thus the bikes would have not been secure unless we had them securely locked . After check-in there was no one at the reception desk at any time that we passed by .
This is a self check in hotel so you get a code that works for front door and room. It is located quite near center and there is a parking house across the street, but it was full when we arrived. Room was ok with 2 separate beds but it was sweltering hot when we arrived. There was a fan in the room which we turned on and went out for dinner. When we came back it was same temperature so we opened windows as temperature outside had come down. But there was traffic noise so had to close when we went to bed. Had a hard time sleeping as it was extremely hot in the room. Went for a run in the morning and took a sip of the waters the hotel left for us and it was more than luke warm. So if it is hot outside I will not reco this hotel.
GGuest UserThe aunts and young ladies at the front desk are very gentle, patient and enthusiastic!
The room is very clean, soundproofing is also good.
It's very close to the railway station, there are restaurants nearby, and take out is fast. It’s just that the internet sometimes doesn’t work well, it’s a bit cold in winter, and I don’t feel like the heating is enough.
Check-out and check-in are very fast, very good
