JW Marriott Hotel Wuxi

The location is absolutely unbeatable. The overall layout of the hotel reminds me a bit of the Park Hyatt in Beijing. I later found out it recently upgraded from a Hyatt. The toilet in the room isn't a smart one, I wonder if that's why.

Pros: Great location, and the buffet dinner was consistently good. Cons: Breakfast gets really crowded, with the noodle and soup dumpling stations constantly running out and long, chaotic queues. The kids' play area is also too small.

Traveling to Wuxi with kids during the National Day holiday, we chose this hotel. First off, the location is great. It's right in the city center, above a subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. There are plenty of dining options downstairs, and a shopping mall right next door. The views are also quite good; you get a panoramic view of Wuxi city from the sky lobby. The service was generally fine, though the front desk told me they would notify me when the room was ready, but they never did. I ended up calling to check after lunch and coffee. Breakfast was so-so, not a huge variety, but it was edible. Overall, it's a pretty good choice for tourists.

This hotel is right in the heart of Wuxi. I used to stay here often when it was a Hyatt, and I'm still pleasantly surprised now that it's a Marriott. At least this location deserves a good hotel, and I hope it continues to improve.

This is my second stay this year, and the hotel has joined a new group, leading to some nice upgrades in facilities. Overall, it's still quite good. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and there are plenty of great food options nearby. I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is excellent, from the Grand Hyatt to the Galaxy and JW Marriott. The reason I keep wanting to stay here again and again is the fantastic service experience from their hotel team, especially Amy. She is incredibly professional and very nice. Every time I check in, I truly feel "at home." Living in the clouds, experiencing life in the clouds, it's wonderful! 👍👍👍

Room facilities: A very handsome guy at the front desk helped us upgrade to a mountain-view room, 4917. Many thanks to him; the night view was absolutely stunning, full of National Day festive atmosphere. During the National Day holiday, there were various activities every day. We got to try making a sugar-blown horse 🐎 from malt sugar, which was quite fun. Breakfast: The selection was very rich. The soup dumplings were juicy and the meat was delicious; I ate several! The bread was exquisitely made, and every piece looked tempting! Room view: It felt like having a panoramic view of all the mountains. Ordering takeout required going downstairs to the first floor to pick it up, but getting bubble tea 🥤 was very convenient due to the downtown location. WiFi: They had a Dyson hairdryer and a JBL Bluetooth speaker. My two-night stay was excellent. The room cleaning auntie was also very polite and enthusiastic. I redeemed some vouchers from Trip.com, and if I come to Wuxi again, I will definitely stay here.

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt before, and this time I decided to try the JW Marriott since it was rebranded. The occupancy rate during the National Day holiday wasn't high! The desserts were delicious 😋. Pros: The staff were all proactive and enthusiastic. The front desk, bar, and service center staff were responsive and actively solved problems! The lounge offerings were good, and the view was great! Cons: The newly renovated rooms still had an odor, so I ended up switching back to an older room (suite upgrade). The garage elevator had a musty smell, and the contract between the parking lot and the mall seemed disorganized. For around 1000, the JW Marriott price is definitely affordable! I hope they continue to improve on the details.
