Wuxi Grand Hotel

I stayed at the Wuxi Hotel for a business trip due to its location. Transportation is quite convenient, and it's very close to downtown Wuxi. The hotel does show its age, but the overall maintenance is quite decent. While it can't compare to newer hotels, the overall stay was pleasant, the bed was quite comfortable, and the staff service was attentive.

You can tell the hotel has been renovated; it looks clean and well-maintained overall. My friend thought that since it was an older hotel, the facilities would be run-down, but we were pleasantly surprised. For the price, it offers great value for money. The room's bathroom even has a bathtub and a fully automatic toilet, so the amenities are complete. Parking is easy, and there are many good restaurants and snacks along Hubin Road downstairs.

This is an old, established five-star hotel in Wuxi, reportedly built by Chinese expatriates who lived in Japan, and you can definitely see traces of Japanese culture. The location is excellent, very convenient for public transport. I didn't take many photos of the room; the facilities aren't exactly new, but then again, it is an older five-star property.

This is my second time staying at the Wuxi Grand Hotel. It's an older hotel with older facilities, but the transportation is convenient and the price is affordable. Dining options are also good. Overall, I still think it's a good place to stay. I have a suggestion for the hotel, especially now that more elderly travelers are staying in hotels. For their safety, I recommend adding rooms with walk-in showers. Currently, showering in a bathtub with an overhead shower is not safe for seniors; it's difficult for them to step in and out, the tub and floor can be slippery, and there are no grab bars. This really needs improvement. Once that's addressed, I'll definitely come back to the Wuxi Grand Hotel.
