I have traveled all over the world and Shiyanli B&B is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a higher floor upon arrival. The view from the window was the majestic Dawang Peak. All the furnishings were modern and high quality. Fruit and Da Hong Pao tea was provided in the room as well. The other side of the experience was the tea room. The owner's family runs a local tea shop and said their tea comes from within the Wuyishan protected region. The region is known for Wuyi Rock Tea. There were a few options to try and the tea was extremely good. We purchase several boxes to take home to share with friends and family. It is a little bit difficult to get by without some mandarin Chinese knowledge, like everywhere else in China, but I wouldn't let this deter you from staying here. The staff here were the most helpful and kind.

Our room is on the 5th floor, overlooking river and mountain. The room comes with modern facilities like toilet bowl washlet and separate rain shower and bath tub. There is a free washing machine and dryer on 6th floor for hotel guest to use, this comes in handy for overseas traveller like us. A lot of restaurants and a small night market within walking distance. 印象大紅袍 is also less than 1 km walk.

My parents and I stayed over for 3 nites and we were cared for well as the owner and her team paid attention to details and assisted us in making it a comfortable stay. My parents appreciated the fruits that was given daily and the soft towels. I must say the pillows are too flat for our liking but everything else including the view is unbeatable. We will definitely come back and stay here again if we come to Wuyishan and highly recommend it to others too. Thank you!

The location is very good, in the Sangu Resort, surrounded by small fresh style tea shops and bars, good food and shopping. The homestay has a valuable window view, facing the Dawang Peak. You can brew a pot of Zhengshan Xiaozhong tea and enjoy the tree, stream and mountain views, which will make you feel relaxed and happy. The room is quite large and long. Once you insert the room card, the curtains slowly open and a green scene comes in, giving you a sense of ceremony. The new homestay has no peculiar smell, and hot water comes as soon as it is turned on. I took a bath and had a very satisfying night. The price is only 200 more expensive than the Four Seasons next door, so it is worth it! In the evening, you can drink tea with the proprietress on the first floor. The proprietress is generous and takes out the domineering cinnamon to entertain you warmly. This is what it means to feel at home.

Since it was off-season, the front desk lady helped upgrade to a room with a better view. The room was cleaned very well and the fruit plate was refreshed every day. There was construction going on nearby when we checked in, but the room was well soundproofed and we were not disturbed at all.

I stayed in Shiyan for four days and three nights in Wuyi Mountain. The landlady and the two girls at the front desk were very polite and kind. Although there was no breakfast provided, they gave guides and tips for nearby restaurants. I felt like myself every day when I went out and came back. It feels like home. Next time I come to Wuyi Mountain, I will stay in Shiyanli. The bedding and toiletries are very comfortable. The view is also great. There is Chongyang Creek Trail outside the window. There is a lot of fireworks around. My life in Wuyi Mountain is very comfortable. , it is also very convenient to go to scenic spots, and it is within walking distance from Wuyishan Impression! ! !
