The location is right near the scenic area, just a few minutes' walk to Huangling. The owner provided attentive and thoughtful service; when we couldn't find the exit, he even called us personally to check if we had made it out! 😆 Rare to find service like this!

The guesthouse is located halfway up the mountain in Huangling, so there's no need to take the cable car up. The room was clean and tidy, equipped with disposable amenities, and the bathroom features a wet and dry separation design. It's clear that the owner puts real heart into running this place. The owner's grandmother is an amazing cook! The chicken hot pot was made with a free-range chicken caught right from the back mountain. Knowing we had kids with us, they thoughtfully prepared half in a clear broth and the other half braised in soy sauce. The portions were also very generous!

The homestay was located in walking distance to the main gate of the ancient village which was great, as we went once in the evening and the next day. All of the people in the village close by to the homestay were so lovely and we had such a nice meal on our last night, good food and rice wine. Rooms were very clean with amazing view. We had an issue with our room at the start of the trip, we let the guy know he sorted another room within 5 mins and helped us move all of our bags we were very happy with the service. Also they have the cutest puppy! The guy at the homestay was so helpful, picked us up from the village so we didn’t have to walk in the dark but sadly the women at the homestay didn’t make us feel particularly welcome, think it might have been because of the language barrier.

The owner was really nice, he took me all the way to the cable car and spoke in Chinese to get me a discounted ticket, at night he even came to pick me up with his scooter. The room was really clean and very spacious for the price I paid.
