Wycombe District Hotels with Airport pickup service

The staff in this hotel are so welcoming. Outstanding service and friendly all round. There is in my opinion a couple of staff who should be recognised for their above and beyond service making guests feel more than welcome. Ella, Sarah, Vaz and Charmaine. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Even the bar staff must include” Steve” are happy to give you an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone Oh! by the way. The standard of food in this hotel is exceptionally good quality. A beautiful complimentary breakfast and menu. 24/7. Well done all.

The hotel's renovation proceeds well, with the vast majority of the building looking very smart with excellent facilities. I had to point out to the hotel, as is the case in many hotels globally, that changes in facilities and policies leave all textual information (eg. the online guide, menus, notices etc) out of date. I read the small print and asked for everything it promised but was not present. I asked for the missing sofa bed, safe, bathrobes, chocolates etc. The staff work tirelessly but are short handed for the task. While I was there new staff were being hired so all these matters are being addressed. I am indebted to duty manger Raj KC who went above and beyond in helping me cope with my problems, as an elderly man with fading eyesight and hearing, and medical challenges typical of my age group in Britain, in sending a 30 kilogram item I bought to the North West. I very much appreciated his advice and assistance and wish him all the best in his future career.

First the good points - wonderful location overlooking the Thames at Maidenhead. Well appointed room and common parts well maintained. Now for the bad - this hotel had recently completed a two year restoration but let itself down in a few ways 1 - when I booked I was told that my room was on the ground floor - not so. It was up a steep flight of stairs from reception and i have difficulty with stairs 2 - The bed side lights were offset from the bed so we had to get out of bed to switch off the lights 3 - Believe it or not but we couldn't get a gin and tonic in the bar as they didn't have any tonic water 4 - The breakfast buffet was among the worst we have experienced. All of the food was tepid, they only offered scrambled eggs, the bacon was covered in white scum and the hashbrowns were soft and squidgy Such a shame as the hotel has so much to offer, but they need desperately to gat their act in gear

I know i will arrive London Heathrow late. So I tried to choose a hotel not far from airport to crash out a night before heading to London. I choose Holiday Inn Slough Windsor because I think instead of stay in airport hotel, at least I can go take a look at Windsor castle in the morning - there is no much different between 20 minutes Uber and 12 minutes to most of the airport hotel near Heathrow Airport. In fact I arrived 4 hours later than I should be - checking in after midnight...very smooth. As I am Platinum member of IHG member , I was pre-assigned executive room on 8th floor. Looking inside room, I have to say this room is better than my expectation of Holiday Inn: with Lavazza Coffee Machine, with slipper and all necessary amenities. In the morning I called a Uber to Windsor Castle just take a look. It cost between 7 - 9 pounds one way, about 8 minutes. Hotel to Slough Station, another 8 pound, about 6 minutes. Slough Station to Paddington, 10.8 pounds on GWR , 18 minutes. Overall the 2 hotel staffs I met, all very kind and friendly, everything is very smooth, everything works. It is by far better than a convenient hotel only , it is a very decent hotel and especially if you drive , there is ample car park, and good value to visit London and nearby area.

There is no telephone in the room, so if you have any questions, go to the information desk on the 1st floor, and you have to ask for a hairdryer at the information desk. The room fan is a little weak, but better than nothing because there is no air conditioner. But overall not bad

Although the room is small and well-equipped, British hotels also maximize the use of space. The room is small, very compact, clean and hygienic, and the details of the room are user-friendly, such as the window switch handle with a limit design; the quality of the bedding can be compared to an English breakfast Simple, with vegetables🥬, fruits, bacon, coffee machine with many types of coffee, and hot milk options; warm service at the front desk; car number registration required at the front desk; convenient parking; spacious yard, green plant fence, and autumn colors. We rented a car at London Heathrow Airport and drove to the hotel at night. It was our first time to drive a right-hand drive car in the UK. The car and the road were unfamiliar. We drove many times on the road near the hotel. Finally, we asked for directions at a nearby gas station⛽️. Come on, the lady volunteered to drive and lead us to the hotel entrance. The appearance of the hotel does not have the green color of the holiday inn shown by Ctrip. There are no neon lights at night. The hotel does not have many floors and is difficult to find on the highway.

If you want to be taken to a different world, then Crazy Bear is for you! Wow, what an experience. Yes, it's pricey, but then so are many unique experiences. This is seriously out of this world, leave the existing, go back to a previous century with all the luxuries of great food, drink, music and more. From leather padded flooring, copper bathtubs and a feel of what absolute luxury could have been for those oh so privileged back in the medieval times. We enjoyed the Tai Restaurant (The Duck was amazing!), imported wine and cocktails in the most splendour of lounges you could ever imagine. Like everywhere, nothing is perfect, but this is quite fascinating and was a great experience we thoroughly enjoyed, the Pro’s outweighed any Con’s – Thank you to the team at Crazy Bear Beaconsfield!

A well-regulated hotel, the service is good, first gave the room with a sharp corner on the second floor, not very friendly to the big head, and later the front desk helped to change the room on the first floor to solve the problem of meeting, the service is still more intimate. Staff are great every time my team and I stay here. Always very attentive and helpful to our large group. We stay regularly and they are always very accommodating. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The services next door are also very useful as there's lots of variety for food options.
