Britannia Airport Hotel

‘The worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life’ I never leave reviews or complain, but I felt like I had to on this occasion. The room was scruffy, dirty & outdated. - toenail clippings on the floor, fizzy pop or some sort of ‘brown liquid’ smeared up the walls, hole in the wall as if someone had punched it. Paint patches everywhere & other peoples bodily hair in and around the sink & bathtub. Shower & sink leaking - bathroom flooding & smelling like urine. Window, partially open & was unable to close properly so was a draft in the room all night, windows & windowsills covered in dirt. I lifted the covers back to what looked like a ‘blood’ stain on the sheets. We arrived back at the hotel around 10pm after going out for tea & shopping at the Trafford centre, to absolute chaos. Loads of people outside arguing, people running up and down the corridors, people screaming at the reception. Went back up to the room & the room opposite us was smoking ****, the smell was that strong it was coming through to our room. All night people was playing music, running up and down the corridors & screaming. Staff couldn’t care less. Very dirty everywhere and the worst atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed at a hotel. If you want a good nights sleep or to chill out before a holiday, please do not stay here, choose a better option by the airport, as this place is horrendous.

The air conditioner was not working and the room amenities was not available at all, poor breakfast and no smoking available

When we walked in to the lobby, there was full scale roaring and aggressive behaviour from a group and it went on for a good while as we were trying to check in. Eventually a staff member tried to calm the situation. Got to the room and after requesting a power point near the bed for a medical device I found there wasn’t!!!! So back down to the reception where the stuff was still going on and reception guy says they have no rooms with a power plug near the bed and they would get an extension lead……..after waiting nearly 30 mins I gave up and went to my room and eventually they followed on with a lead. Overall I know you get what you pay for but they could do better.

This hotel is good I would recommend it,the bar/restaurant in it is really good and lively too,good atmosphere in general,just no WiFi in the rooms is a pain but other than that it’s quite alright Rooms are really clean too,housekeeping is doing a great job in this hotel,for sure,very hard workers,appreciate them a lot I have been staying in this hotel quite sometime work related and every time if I need anything from housekeeping they always provide clean towels,cookies,clean sheets,toilet paper ,soep anything you need with kindness,very hard workers ,my respect to them all

Beds clean, lifts can take a while. Internet costs £7 a day and mobile network is pretty bad. If you need to work during your stay WiFi can be a big issue on 7th floor. Easy parking, close to motorway.

One of the workers were quite laid back in the room while there were many customers at the counter, leaving just one staff handling them. Even though many no smoking signboards are put up, the lift still smells like someone smoked in it. The flush in my toilet was not good, i had to flush at least four times. Wifi isn’t free but you have to pay £7/day. Room is warm which is nice, other than that, the interior just look old and dark. Airport transfer was great though.

Was ok but dated rooms carpets smelt Of smoke and urine in the rooms and the beds very uncomfy but it was a room for the night cheap but the bathroom also wasn’t very clean there was hairs all around the sink still

Well worth the money, very convenient to get to the airport , there’s a bus right outside the hotel that takes you direct to Manchester airport, it’s the number 103 and is £2 per person. Breakfast was decent to.

Was fine for an overnight stay as I had an early flight to catch the next morning.
