Xi'an Desti Youth Hostel - Xi'an Bell Tower

The room was clean and the facilities were great. The best part was making a group of good friends and spending some unforgettable nights here. I'll definitely be back next time!

First time staying here. The environment is quite decent, with separate areas for men and women. Transportation downstairs is very convenient, and the Bell Tower is nearby, making it super easy to explore and find food around. A top choice for solo travelers!

This was my first time staying at Backpacker 10 Years Hostel, and overall it was quite a good experience. The transportation is convenient, but the lights in the shower kept going out. I'd suggest adding an auxiliary switch. It's a shame that after staying for three days, I only found out on the third night that there was music to listen to. See you next time!

The room experience was good, I slept on the bottom bunk. It was generally quiet. Public areas, like the restrooms, were very clean. The toilets had disinfectant spray and seat covers, looking even better than those at the airport, and the air conditioning was at a comfortable temperature. The showers were also quite clean. They put a lot of effort into maintaining hygiene; even the electric fans were cleaned.

TL;DR: Imperfect but still good. **Location:** The hostel is incredibly well-situated. Look left from downstairs and you see the Bell Tower; look right and you see the Bell Tower subway station. Once inside the building, there are clear signs to guide you. It's fantastic for getting around! **Service:** It was okay. **Facilities:** On the 2nd floor, there are two dryers and two washing machines, priced reasonably as shown in the picture. The restrooms have disposable toilet seat covers available. The shower lights are motion-sensor, but they sometimes fail for no reason – the light went off 3-4 times while I was just washing my hair. The air conditioning in the room is too powerful; I set it to 24 degrees Celsius, and it would change to 20 degrees after a while. I'm not sure if it's centrally controlled. **Hygiene:** Pretty good.

I highly recommend this hostel; my personal experience staying here was excellent. First off, it's a two-story hostel, located on the second and third floors. The third floor houses the front desk and various activity areas primarily for entertainment, socializing, dining, and relaxation. They have daily activities and even a pool table. The second floor is dedicated to accommodations. The main entrance has a keycard access system, so outsiders can't get in, ensuring both security and privacy. After swiping your card, you enter an area for changing shoes, and each person gets a small locker. Once inside the room, the space is very large and smells wonderfully fragrant. The shared bathrooms are cleaned promptly and are very hygienic. The shampoo and shower gel are fixed to the wall and cannot be removed, which adds to the peace of mind. The only, and I mean *only*, minor point is that there are only toilets, so those who dislike them might want to consider this. However, they are quite clean, and I found it acceptable, so I still recommend it. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

I'd seen 'Backpackers 10 Years Youth Hostel' online a few times, and finally got to experience it for a night on my trip to Xi'an. It's a large place with many rooms. I booked an 8-bed dorm, and compared to other hostels, it's not great value for money. However, the environment and atmosphere are indeed very good, with many international guests. It's very clean, and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. All the facilities you'd expect are there and of good quality. My only minor complaint was the bed I was assigned: it was directly under an air vent that hummed constantly, and being opposite the common area, it was particularly noisy even with the door closed.
