During our self-driving trip along the Gannan Grand Loop, we arrived in Xiahe. After sifting through numerous hotels and guesthouses on Qunar.com, we finally chose "Xiahe Xianze Yunju." At first glance, it appeared to be an unassuming two-story building. However, stepping into the guesthouse courtyard was a delightful surprise—the guesthouse was clearly divided into two parts: the first floor housed a workshop and showroom for yak and wool products, while the second floor was the guest room area. The rooms were entirely furnished with wood, and the air was filled with the subtle fragrance of trees. The design combined taste and ingenuity, with exquisite facilities and clean, soft bedding, embodying the essence of overseas guesthouse design, making one feel warm and comfortable from the moment they entered. A conversation with the guesthouse owner added another layer of connection: the owner was acquainted with a ******* friend of mine who runs a guesthouse in Shangri-La. The two shared similar experiences—both had studied abroad in various countries and now chose to return to China to start businesses and contribute to the development of their hometown—truly passionate ******* compatriots. This trip wouldn't have been possible without the thoughtful care of our two hosts: the hospitable Tashi helped us with our luggage the entire time, not only taking us to sample the delicious and affordable local cuisine, but also personally accompanying us to the Amigonghong Grassland for sightseeing and horseback riding; the landlady, Lhamo, personally brewed coffee and made milk tea, which were incredibly fragrant and delicious; the next morning, she even prepared a delicate Western-style breakfast, making us deeply feel the warmth and hospitality of the ******* people. Unfortunately, the guesthouse owner, Zhuoma Jie, had to leave for Chengdu on a business trip that afternoon, so we had to part ways briefly, but a deep bond had already formed between us, a feeling of mutual appreciation and regret for not having met sooner. Now, in addition to daily greetings via WeChat, we also communicate in English, continuing this special friendship. "Xiahe Xianze Yunju" truly is a wise choice for travelers!

The room was clean, the environment was nice, and the service was good. The complimentary cookies were delicious, and the facilities were new. It's located in a small town. The landlady doesn't understand Mandarin, but the owner said he returned from abroad and has been working there for 10 years. There's a factory on the first floor, which I visited and bought a scarf. The guesthouse is marked by the entrance to Xianze Crafts. The coffee was very good, but the breakfast was just average; I didn't like it.

We had a wonderfully unexpected and delightful stay at an incredibly cozy guesthouse during our layover in Xiahe! Both the rooms and the hallways were stylish, and the owner and the young man who greeted us were incredibly welcoming. They showed us around the guesthouse and took us for a stroll in the nearby grasslands. It was a shame we only had one night; I'll definitely come back for a long vacation next time.

This is the guesthouse I stayed at in Gannan on a whim, only staying one night, and then three more nights – it was the most surprising and delightful experience for me. The downstairs is a yak wool factory and showroom, and the rooms are upstairs. First of all, it's very convenient to get to by car, close to the airport, and parking is easy. If you can't find a parking spot, the owner will pick you up. Secondly, the rooms are fantastic. The bedding and pillows are incredibly comfortable. October in Gannan is quite cold, but the rooms were clean, tidy, and cozy. They even have yak wool scarves and shawls to try out. Besides Nordan, this was the only other place in Gannan I experienced truly local products, which was very rare. The owners have been abroad for a long time, so their Chinese isn't very good, but their English is fluent. However, there's a young man named Zaxi in the guesthouse who can communicate via WeChat, so that's no problem. Breakfast is simple, with egg porridge and side dishes, which suits my daily habits perfectly. You can also order coffee separately, and the owner's wife makes excellent coffee! I had a cup every day!

A very nice hotel, clean and uniquely decorated. The owners are incredibly hospitable. Breakfast includes homemade bread, delicious yak butter, and yak milk tea. I would recommend it to anyone who needs it.

My trip to Gannan ended, and I've been home for two days now. I have to add this belated review today. Location and Natural Beauty The hotel is nestled on the edge of the Sangke Grassland, offering vast grassland scenery as soon as you step out the door. On our check-in day, the welcoming owner offered to take us for a walk by a nearby stream. Verdant grass lay beneath our feet, dotted with wildflowers, the stream gurgled, and in the distance, cattle and sheep strolled leisurely. It felt like stepping into an untouched natural landscape. This immersive experience, detached from the hustle and bustle of life, was one of the greatest surprises of the trip. Service is in the Details What touched us most was the owner's thoughtfulness. Due to our tight schedule the next day, we planned to depart at 7:30 AM. We had planned to skip breakfast, but the owner specifically inquired about our departure time the night before and prepared a hot breakfast the next morning. Bread, milk tea, and side dishes...the simple fare held the most simple warmth, making us feel like family on a cool morning. This selfless enthusiasm far exceeds expectations of "hotel service." Summary This isn't just a hotel offering accommodations; it's a warm, grassland inn. If you're looking for a place on the Sangke Grasslands where you can experience local hospitality, this is definitely worth choosing. The owner's sincerity and the beautiful grassland scenery will be the most unforgettable moments of your trip.

I have a deep connection with Amuquhu, as I spent two years fighting and living there while serving in the army in the early 1980s. After 45 years of tremendous changes, the place has completely changed. I've passed by countless times since, but I've never been able to stay here. This time, I stayed for two nights. I made the right choice to stay at Xianze Manor B&B. The owner has traveled extensively, is very experienced, and is a very kind person. I must also praise Tashi's service, which is warm and thoughtful. The hotel's environment is elegant, the bedding is comfortable, and the cleanliness is very satisfactory. Those who are interested can also purchase purely handmade yak products here. Special thanks to Tashi for recommending the "Highland Amama" beef soup pot, which was very delicious. I won't give a definitive review, just the specifics. It was my first time staying in a room without a mirror. After showering, I had to wring the water out myself, otherwise there would be water pooling in the toilet bowl. You can see in the pictures that I mistook it for a room; I was careless. It was probably a little better than a yurt, but overall, it was inconvenient for me. Parking was only available on the roadside. This place seemed to be a village. I came here because of the 4.9 rating. I'll never stay in a guesthouse again. If you're used to staying in star-rated hotels, then maybe… well, maybe that's just how it is there. Oh, and the breakfast service was very good. It was just cabbage, porridge, eggs, pancakes, and milk tea—that was it. This is just my honest account; it's not a bad review, but it's not a good one either. You can judge for yourself. You have to learn from your own mistakes.
