Gulangyu 1931 Seaview Rooftop Villa Hotel (Sanqiutian Wharf)

My stay here was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms were spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the attention to detail was exceptional. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

A distinctive castle-style hotel that's clean, comfortable, and well worth experiencing. Its ambiance is reminiscent of an American-style inn. It features a four-story terrace offering scenic views, with the Twin Towers clearly visible. And best of all, it boasts a large bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak!

The owner is absolutely wonderful! We brought our family for a summer trip, and she was incredibly thoughtful, arranging rooms that perfectly suited our multi-generational group, including seniors and young children. She even helped us find and book some fantastic local restaurants on the island. Everyone, adults and kids alike, had a blast! The location is super convenient – it’s a short walk to the beach and even closer to delicious local eateries. The accommodation itself is also very tastefully decorated. But the best part was definitely the owner's outstanding kindness and service. Highly recommended!!!

The property is a classic 1920s villa. The rooms are spacious, and some even feature a charming duplex layout with two levels, which the kids absolutely adored. The surrounding area is popular for artistic photoshoots, and I couldn't resist taking a few beautiful shots myself – it felt wonderful. The host is incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, and they even offer their own selection of beverages, which is a great convenience. Just a short walk away, there's a vibrant commercial street, perfect for dining, drinks, and a casual wander. It's also very close to Sanqiutian Pier, making it an ideal choice for tourists.

It was my first time staying on Gulangyu Island, and the hotel offered great value for money. The historic architecture had such a wonderful ambiance. In the evenings, I could enjoy the night view from the rooftop terrace. Plus, dining was incredibly convenient, being right next to a bustling snack street.

The owner was incredibly friendly! She gave us fantastic advice on things to do and see on the island, including suggested routes and helpful tips. She even thoughtfully provided us with a map for exploring. It was such a considerate gesture!
