Alice always arranges excellent rooms, and the hotel staff are very friendly. This time, I got a room with an unbeatable lake view, perfect for enjoying the warm winter sun and afternoon tea right there. The room was far from the elevator, so it was quiet and spotless. Every time I return to China, I stay at Marco Polo; the location is so convenient with coffee shops, bars, Chinese, and Western restaurants all within easy reach.

The facilities and service at this well-established hotel are still top-notch. The New Year's special events were unique, making for a memorable New Year's Eve. However, the shower and bathtub setup is quite impractical; there's a high risk of slipping when getting in and out of the shower, and the bathtub jets and other areas weren't cleaned properly. They even forgot to refill the body wash. I reported this to the front desk when checking out, but received no response, which really detracts from the hotel's brand image.

This hotel is located at down town nearby beautiful lake. Once I stepped-in the room, i directly noticed that this hotel itself can be a hotel and alsl can be a resort in terms of view from the window. Xiamen's nice weather and amazing veiw over the lake made my memories unforgettable especially in sunset so that i really had wonderful time at this hotel. Regarding room condition, this hotel is not new hotel, but it is well-maintained and well-managed hotel so that i had no hygiene issue. As for Breakfast, This hotel offers various selection at Breakfast buffet restaurant with tasty hot dishes. Each section was filled with dedicated chef and they were very polite and up for anything for Hotel guest. Overall, well-managed and organized hotel in Xiamen and hope to visit the hotel again.

The hotel staff is usually well trained and nice but during my last stay I faced few issues especially when people pretend to understand when they don’t .Rooms are starting to be too old and need a serious refurbishment.
