Located at Zhongshan Road next to Pedestrian Shopping Street where there is bustling day and night life. Many eateries, cafes, restaurants, shopping that you will be spoilt for choices. Building looks a little run-down, but amenities were good. Total 6 stories and laundry room is at level 5 (2 washers + 2 dryers). Most importantly, the reception staff and cleaning aunties were polite and helpful. There is a small gym and next to it is the area for breakfast. All these are at level 2. One downside to mention is there is only 1 lift. One of the escalator (going down) has been out of service for the whole week that I stayed. The lift is slow. Overall, it is a value for money stay.

The place is clean. There is an elevator. You can enter from escalator of zhongshan road or from behind and use their elevator. The lobby is at 2nd floor. They clean everyday and provide toothbrush, slippers and other ammenities. It’s in the middle of zongshan road. Taxi to and from airport only costs 40-45rmb which is very affordable. A lot of food beside it and souvenir shops. I only walked to 8th market and shapowei… If you don’t like walking, you can ride a taxi. Train is also near. I only spent 5rmb to go to jimei village via their train.

My second stay with Ibis. Excellent location right smack at zhong shan walking street and di ba shi market. Lots of eateries and convenient access to public transport. Got a free upgrade to King bed. Hotel staff are very polite.

When I write a review, I always put in perspective the price I can paying for and it's competitiness in the country. 1. Cleanliness is good. Housekeeper is friendly and accommodating. 2. Hail a car from airport to hotel cost about Sgd5 and less than Sgd5 from hotel to airport for me. Actual will depend on your App and cars you pick. 3. Hotel location is impeccable with the starting point of Zhongshan Road right below the Hotel. 4. Staff is helpful and friendly. 5. Breakfast is decent for the price. The range is not extensive, but one has to look at the price you are paying for. Coffee maker at Libby makes freshly brewed coffee. 6. There is a little gym for simple workout. Overall, it is a satisfactory experience and I have no complaints. (I would like to upload for photos, but my family's faces would appear... :))

Not all the counter staff are not very helpful, only attended to your basic hotel admin need. They will not go the extra mile to serve the customer. Other then the location which is along Zhongshan Road. The hotel is a it run down. Only 1 elevator to the Zhongshan Road is working.

Went there with a group of people and the location is great very convenient! Walking distance to food streets! will definitely come back to stay again next time!

Only 1 elevator is available and it was very crowded during certain hours. Avoid lobby level toilet ( which is located behind a building door and probably not maintained by the hotel. at all costs. Free WIFI is available but you will need a China-registered mobile number but staff will assist using their own numbers. Taxis and Didi will drop and pick you at a narrow back entrance which can be packed if a bigger vehicle is around. Easy access to pedestrian street via an escalator which is a big plus. Most (or all?) rooms have windows facing a void rather than outside. It will be nearly impossible to get rooms on the same floor for a group.

Location is convenient for transportation. Staff is friendly for inquiries and English speaking.

Good location as its located at zhongshan street but very disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Booked 2 rooms and both conditions are bad. Sofas are stained, wall behind tv is dusty, side lamp between both beds are so dusty to the extent that I kept coughing when sleeping. Toilet rolls and showering products were not refilled or topped up adequately. Aircon is not cold.. 😪

The hotel is in a convenient location near Zhongshan walking street, which is a plus. The room was spacious and clean, but it felt dated and would benefit greatly from refurbishment. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable smoke smell in the room, which was unpleasant. Despite being winter (November/December), the room lacked air conditioning, and it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy, making it feel like an oven. The TV was non-functional, and the Wi-Fi signal was so weak it was essentially unusable. Additionally, only one elevator was available for guests, leading to delays, and some floor tiles in the room were loose and uneven.

Room space is big enough for a good stay. Window sound proofing can be improved. Pedestrian street is just next to it. Please do not take the taxi waiting in front of the hotel. They are not sincere and will trick you into going to other lowly rated places of interest and their objective is take you to duty free and pearl shop. Ignore them and walk further down the road for taxi not far away.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are pretty clean and are very big, especially if you're a solo traveler.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel. It's very convenient and the pedestrian mall is just outside the hotel. Lots of good food and things to see/ buy. Loved the location.
