Here's the latest and most honest review. I gave the environment two stars, and here's why: noise! I'm usually fine with the sound of showers and toilets flushing, loud chatter and laughter from neighboring rooms, and even street traffic and subway noise – I don't find them particularly disruptive. So, when I checked in, I didn't even mention wanting a quieter room. But! I realized I was wrong. From the moment I turned off the lights to sleep until the next morning, the room was subjected to constant noise pollution. (I hadn't noticed it when we first arrived because my child was watching cartoons). This relentless, rumbling noise went on 24/7; it was enough to drive me crazy. I wanted to call the front desk in the middle of the night, but I didn't want to disturb my child, so I waited until morning. Honestly, I didn't sleep a wink. I called the front desk, and they came to the room to listen. I even played a recording I'd made. We ruled out all the common noises I mentioned earlier, as well as the ventilation fan and refrigerator. Eventually, we discovered the source was the powerful exhaust fan from a nearby food stall (da pai dang). I immediately requested a room change. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful; she showed me two other rooms, and I chose one of them. The remaining three nights were perfectly peaceful. The young lady at the front desk always greeted me with a smile, as did one of the male staff members. Their service attitude was excellent. This morning, I asked the male staff member for the young lady's name, but I couldn't quite catch it – maybe CP? Both of these front desk staff were wonderful to the guests. The cleaning staff were also great. Although I didn't need room cleaning during my stay, they were very responsive to my requests for additional supplies. The location is excellent, close to the Zhenhai Line subway station, and bus routes make it convenient to get anywhere. Breakfast was just okay. Whenever I brought my child down to eat after 9:30 AM, there was hardly anyone left, and items weren't being replenished. If you want a hot meal with more variety, it's best to be there before 8:30 AM. Oh, and a warning: avoid noisy room 1303 if you can.
