I’ve always enjoyed my stays in Mercure hotels, as they are typically very clean, affordable, and well-located. This hotel fits their brand image. The hotel is situated in the middle of many convenience stores and restaurants, making it very convenient to find a meal or anything you may want. The lavender decor creates a nice ambiance. Hotel staff at the front desk were polite and efficient, getting our check in finished without any hassles. The room was spacious and very clean, with all the amenities needed. The Japanese toilet is a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and made for a restful sleep. There was one problem with the room. The air conditioning did not work. The room sat at 25 degrees the whole time, despite setting the thermostat at 21. The room temperature was a bit stifling so we had to keep the window open, which allowed a lot of traffic noise in. Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would recommend the hotel.

Great hotel situated nearby the Wanda mall and Tangdao walking street. I was impressed with how stunning the hotel is and pre-arrival experience was really remarkable. It is according to what I expected from Sofitel Hotel; however, my experience this time didn't reach my expectation. First, I was asked to pay CNY99 in order to use the swimming pool even if I already said that I was staying there. Second, the air-conditioner was not cool enough. I asked the staff to help me adjust it, but it seemed not work well. I slept with sweating all night. Lastly, I asked concierge to recommend me where I could find the night walking street and street food, but the answer I got was to search the word ”Tangdao” by myself. This is unacceptable. I wouldn't expect concierge to just provide me this simple answer. I can even do that by myself. What was the point from seeking for the recommendation from concierge? I have seen that one of them even got Les Clefs d'Or so that I expected the whole team to provide me something beyond my expectation. Please consider this issue. Thank you very much.

The facilities and equipment are very complete, but they are a bit outdated. The room is a little cold in winter. I asked for heating or heating the next day, but I said there was no. I took it after staying for four days, and overall it's not bad.

The first time I came to Qinghai to travel, I heard the taxi driver say that Qinghai Hotel is a good hotel. I went with the mentality of trying. Only stayed one night, but the hotel was great, the staff were helpful, and the ginger tea they give as a welcome drink was lovely. Comfy bed and hot shower are always great. The little toiletries were good quality as well. While I may not go back to Xining again, I would definitely stay at a Hampton by Hilton again. 😀

The Sebel Apartments are integrated into the Sofitel of Xining. It was a good place to stay and the rooms were spacious for us as family. The hotel also has a good indoor pool with good water and room temperature. The pool area was clear and well maintained. The breakfast was very good and a great charger for our daily trips around Xining. Only con in our stay was the high temperature in the room overnight. The AC was not on heating but the room was very warm (24 degrees) and the air was very dry. Sleeping was not easy then but it could maybe have been a malfunction.

Marriott's three-star brand hotel The brand of Marriott, for this, forgets that it is a three-star. There is no concierge and security at the entrance of the hotel, and there is no sanitation and anti-epidemic inspection (although the table is set, there is no staff, and no one was found the next day). The temperature in Xining is a bit low, the room temperature is 17 degrees, the air conditioner has been turned on for a long time and finally reached 18 degrees, the temperature did not exceed 19 degrees during the stay. The design of the room is a bit unacceptable, and the bathroom does not have any privacy and ventilation equipment outside. The room is equipped with hand sanitizer, which has fully reached the three-star standard, and there is no waste at the end. We are unfortunately the last guests who can use hand sanitizer. The most irritating thing is hot water. Don’t imagine that hot water will come out in 5 seconds. It didn’t come out for a full 3 minutes and once again reached the three-star standard. Considering the lack of water resources in the Northwest, I decisively gave up. What makes people annoying is that half of the bath was washed with cold water, and there was no hot water. In the end, I could only dry the body soap foam. Unfortunately, I couldn't even reach the three-star rating. The amount of water output is so small that it is too speechless. It is recommended that the management visit the Hanting, such as Home, Vienna, GreenTree Inn, etc., which may make you cry. The hotel has robots to deliver goods. I tried it and received a call. The hotel can’t provide shower gel, okay (then you don’t set this option, as if I am embarrassing you). I went for breakfast the next day. According to the hotel’s recommendation, I missed the peak period. I arrived after 9 o’clock. The breakfast can only be described as huh. In fact, it’s not very demanding. I baked a toast and caught fire directly. Fortunately, the chef made it in time. There was a restaurant staff who came over angrily to check. It seemed that I was to blame. Please, I am still there. There is a problem with your toaster. I don’t have any sense of service. I don’t know if it can reach three stars. standard. It is gratifying to leave the hotel on the last day. I finally saw the smiles of the hotel staff. It was from the housekeeping department and the front desk. To be honest, I was very dissatisfied. The management level of this hotel is under the Marriott brand. Is it an IQ tax? ? The hotel managers can be so presumptuous and don't care about the customer experience at all. Do you do training? But I am not angry. I will not give bad reviews or give 1 point. I just share my real experience. I hope the hotel management can see this review. Check if there is such a situation. I also wish the hotel Business is getting better and better, after all, it is the Marriott brand.

I will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.
