After half a day comparing Shanpu Hostel and Suxin No. 1 Courtyard, I ultimately chose Shanpu, which had more reviews. It turns out the two places are right across from each other, run by friends, both at the foot of the mountain, facing the back hills, and each has a Border Collie. Shanpu's is named Coffee, and No. 1 Courtyard's is Milk. Milk greeted us, and Coffee was our daily companion. Both guesthouses are fantastic, clean, tidy, and exceeded our expectations. The manager at Shanpu is a friendly local guy. He helped with our luggage and introduced us to the scenic spots. We had all our meals at the guesthouse, and there were plenty of fruits and nuts to eat. The dining room is spacious and bright, the kitchen is open for viewing, and the food was delicious. Coffee would quietly keep us company during meals. Although the scenery in Narat wasn't at its best with a lot of the grass turning yellow, the warmth and comfort of the guesthouse made this trip an unexpected delight. I hope both guesthouses continue to thrive!

I wanted to write a glowing review for this hotel even before checking out! The service was incredibly warm and excellent! The food was delicious and reasonably priced too. The breakfast was super rich and varied; they even specially stir-fried dishes and cooked noodles for us, which tasted amazing. We couldn't finish it all and even packed some to go, though I didn't get a full picture. When we checked in on a rainy day, someone immediately came to our car with an umbrella—so touching! The environment, hot water, and heating/AC were all great. We had a very pleasant stay! Plus, there's a super well-behaved and smart Border Collie named Chocolate.

This was my favorite guesthouse during my Xinjiang trip. The owner who greeted us was incredibly kind, helping us with our luggage and getting us settled throughout our stay. The accommodations were clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was delicious! The little dog was so adorable, acting like a tiny concierge by greeting and accompanying guests. It even understood commands! When I asked it to take us out to play, it led us right to the stream. So cute!

This guesthouse is genuinely run with great care. My 12-year-old daughter kept reminding me to give it a five-star review, and my 4-year-old kept saying she wants to come back. The owners are several very kind young men. All the facilities in the room are far superior to other hotels or guesthouses. After more than ten days of traveling, this was the only place that provided bath slippers, disposable slippers, and a baby toothbrush and toothpaste set for my four-year-old, and the quality of everything was excellent. The toiletries in the bathroom weren't large bottles; they were replaced for each guest, and the shower gel smelled wonderful. The bottled water in the room was Baishishan, and there were also free Coke and Sprite. The disposable slippers were brushed cotton, and the complimentary tea in the room was also good. I was too tired at night, so I ordered food at the guesthouse, which was another pleasant surprise. After eating for over ten days, the best lamb soup I'd had wasn't in a restaurant, but in this guesthouse! It truly surprised me at every turn! Moreover, I learned a lot from the owners here. They weren't sitting behind the bar playing on their phones; they were in the courtyard and restaurant, ready to provide attentive and meticulous service to guests at any moment. Their hospitality, from greeting guests to sending them off, goes without saying. They even helped us with our luggage without us having to lift a finger. When we left, they even gave us a small gift bag of local products. But even without this gift, I would still give them a great review, because they constantly conveyed beauty and warmth to our family. They added surprise and a wonderful experience to our trip! We will definitely be back next year!

I absolutely have to give this place a huge thumbs-up! The Kazakh guy at the front desk contacted us in advance to send us the location. When we arrived, he was already waiting at the door to help us with our luggage, and their adorable Border Collie, Chocolate, came to greet us too! The room was very clean, and we didn't hear a single noise at night. In the evening, the guy recommended a restaurant frequented by locals, which was incredibly authentic and delicious! Since it was raining those few days, we asked him for advice. Based on his local recommendations, we canceled our plan to go to Bayanbulak next and instead stayed an extra night. The next day, when the sun came out, we explored Nalati thoroughly. Knowing we were going to drive the Duku Highway afterward, he kept an eye on the road conditions for us every day. If I ever come back to Nalati, I will definitely choose this place again!
