Floral Hotel · Zhengzhou Tiancheng Hotel (Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport)

The hotel is just 10 minutes drive from the airport and the hotel provides pick up and drop off service. I need to get in touch with the driver on wechat but the instructions are clear and easy to follow of where to wait for the pick up. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is superb. I like the grilled tofu and fried chicken. There are many restaurants nearby for dinner.

Ok for tourists coming here for a layover, here is what you need to know. Free pick up: when you arrive at arrivals, go up to the 4th floor (departures level), exit the airport and there will be big numbered boards. The pick up spot is number 5. From here, call the hotel (they use a translation app). You can catch some WiFi inside the airport so you'll have to call from inside or near the wall of the airport. The van says "floral hotel" on it so it's easy to find. If you find someone on the plane who speaks mandarin and English you can get them to help you call and check the instructions. The place is nice and clean, a little run down. Staff were very helpful. I had to try every plug socket to find one that fit my universal adapter but I did find out eventually Food: you can download Alipay to pay for food, it's easy to use but you need internet for it to work. At around 6pm a night market opened up right outside the hotel, although I didn't try the food it looked good. Also when I left the hotel at 5am there was a street food vendor outside so you have an option if you leave before breakfast.
