This was an exceptional guesthouse stay. Facilities were very well organized, clean & comfortable. Ryuji is an enthusiastic and sincere host. I felt very at home and very much enjoyed his excellent cooking (dinner & breakfast available for extra charge). He gave great tips & information to help organize my visit and generously shuttled me to and from the center as it is a bit of a walk out of town. That said, it is a beautiful area with a nice casual view of the mountain. The new kitten is adorable. I would come back!

It's more convenient to drive by yourself. The hotel facilities are relatively complete, but it's a little out of the way. It may be a little inconvenient in winter. But there is a ski pick-up and drop-off service, which is basically good. The scenery should be beautiful in summer

Urabandai Kogen Hotel is located at the best place in Urabandai plateau, for it is at the south of Hibara-lake and can see the mouth of volcano eruption.
