Around 5 min walk from JR station and there is a Aeon next to it. Good for a short stay before heading to ZAO.

This hotel is located conveniently. There are railway stations and bus terminals near. You can use this hotel as a base and visit other places by public transport. Some travelers live in this hotel and go to Zao Onsen ski resort for skiing or snowboarding. There are a lot of places to eat or go shopping.

I like Richmond Hotels for their modern decor and well-maintained property. Unfortunately this location in particular falls short of the most basic criteria of a hotel - cleanliness, especially in Japan. There were molds found in the bathroom in between the tub and the wall, as well as in between the window silts. The location of the hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Yamagata Station. Staff were nice and hospitable. The free midnight snack and free drinks and ice cream in the lounge were nice touches to the stay.

Spacious and clean room for family of 4! The massage chair in the room was superb for relaxing after a tiring day back to hotel. Complimentary foods and drinks provided by hotel was sufficient to fill your crave ♥️

They refurbished Still clean as usual Now they provide free flow ice cream , last time just drinks. Good upgrade. At night they have cold or hot soba for free starting at 8pm Is just around 200meter away from jr station The lobby at second floor Toyota rent a car just below the hotel The free facial mask is so good to use The bed is very comfortable and two pillows provided

The hotel is near to station. It provides hot and cold beverage. Ice cream is free fold at the cafe. Every 8pm there free noodle served. The room is clean and comfortable. The Maxvalue supermarket is open 24 hour. Can do the nite shopping there. I will stay this hotel if I visit Yamagata again.

Very near to Yamagata Station, convenient to go anywhere.

The room is spacious comparing to Japanese standard. The location is behind the yamagata station. There is 7-11 and open 24-hr supermarket right behind the hotel. I love how you can choose the need of cleaning on the television. You can also see the status of the laundry on the television. There is free drink, free ice cream and free noodle. The noodle is quite good. I like it. Staff is very nice and helpful. Ps. Please clean the trouser pressing, it’s so dirty.

A very pleasant 2 nights stay in this modern hotel with spacious room. Check-in and assistance from receptionists was friendly and helpful. It's a short walk from the station, bus stops and a large supermarket. A nice touch is the free coffee/tea or ice cream in the dining area from 12-12pm. We have stayed in Richmond hotels before and will do so again.

Richmond is generally a dependable option. Situated west of Yamagata Station, the area is pleasant and quiet. Both cleanliness and facilities are above average. Self-service check-in was incredibly fast, and there's a 7-Eleven conveniently located just opposite.

Hotel staff very good support and room very clean. Very happy with complimentary food at night and free drinks with ice cream. This is a great place to stay.

Smart comfy hotel in great location for transport, ideal for commutes to Zao Onsen for skiing. The room is slightly bigger than other singles I’ve had in Japan, the bed was comfy and bathroom very clean. The free drinks and ice cream and noodles are a nice touch. The staff were very helpful and efficient and spoke good English. Highly recommend.
