Nice hotel with a great location. There’s 7-11 within the hotel compound, and if not enough there’s Family Mart and Lawson opposite. There’s also a famous Yonezawa beef restaurant beside the hotel.  Room is spacious and toilet well designed. Love Daiwa properties, highly recommend it.

This hotel exceeded my expectations completely. The yamagata airport shuttle (from airport) has a drop-off point right in front of the hotel. The hotel is a 5minutes walk from yamagata station. There is a seven-konbini on 1F of the hotel building, and a toyota car rental directly across the street (1min walk). The hotel room was much bigger than hotel rooms in tokyo, with an amazingly luxurious toilet. Bottled water is provided everyday, as long as you remember to place the "Make-up room" magnet outside your room door by 10am. The restaurant on 1F sells delicious yamagata beef sukiyaki, it is highly recommended though semi-expensive. The surrounding area of the hotel has a good mix of izakayas, konbinis (all 3 big brands incl lawsons & familymart), and fast food; you'll never go hungry. The reception desk is on 3F and the self-service amenities were of good quality (i.e., scented and thick oshibori, 2 different brands of facial cleansers & lotions, and drip coffee). The staff deserve praise for being so friendly, helpful, and accomodating; they allowed our request for cleaning to be done after 11.30am instead of the usual 10am, and gladly provided extra hangers and laundry bags. Speaking of laundry, there are coin operated laundry machines in this hotel, which have both washing and drying in a single machine; the machine is also password-protected per wash, which gives one a peace of mind. Stayed here for 9 nights as my base of operations for this holiday, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Daiwa Roynet Yamagata Ekimae. 10/10.

I stayed one night at this hotel, which is conveniently located near the train station and feels fresh and new. The on-site restaurant serves dinner, and we tried the sukiyaki — it was absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try, even if the price is on the higher side. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would happily choose this hotel again when visiting Zao.

Great stay for two nights. Excellent location with the bus to Mount Zao right downstairs and a 7-Eleven in the building. The hotel is well maintained, and cleaning is available upon request.

They provide a complimentary bottle of water every day, and check-in was very efficient. The hotel is really close to the station, with a 7-Eleven and a Yamagata beef restaurant right downstairs. It offers excellent value for money; it's one of the newer hotels in the area and very reasonably priced.

The hotel is brand new, and the bathroom facilities, in particular, are excellent. It's probably the best option near Yamagata Station. It's a 3-5 minute walk to Yamagata Station and just a 3-minute walk to the bus stop (for Zao Onsen Ski Resort) from Yamagata Station. The breakfast restaurant is a famous Yonezawa beef restaurant. You can ask the front desk to make a reservation for you.

We went snowboarding at Zao but all accommodations were fully booked. So we decided to stay at yamagata. It’s great that we stayed at Yamagata as there are more restaurants and places to hang around. It only takes about 30mins to drive to zao. The hotel is very good, spacious, clean. There is 7-11 and a decent restaurant downstairs. Montbell is bearby

The hotel location is very near the yamagata station and easy to access anywhere , the staff is very helpful and very friendly service.

The hotel exceeded all the expectations! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Yamagata. The personnel is very polite, very helpful, and tries to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The hotel is a new building I would say, very close to the station. There is a 7/11 store on the 1st floor which is very convenient. The room is very spacious, has everything you might need. Also you can take all the necessary items such as face creams, toners, lotions, hair oils, toothbrushes, hair ties, teas, coffees etc. at the front desk. Absolutely wonderful experience!

View from hotel window was amazing. Modern, clean, most comfy hotel. Very conveniently located near train and bus station.

Pleasant surprise. I did not realize that this hotel is very new, not even grand opening yet. About 3 minutes walk from the station. Great price value ratio

The room and bathroom is large, kinda comfortable and satisfy for that size. The hotel also really close to Yamagata Station, just 3-4min walk.
