NEW STAR HOTEL YAMANAKAKO

This was my first time staying here. The stairs leading up to the room are a bit challenging with steep steps, so I'd say it might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Although I booked a room-only plan, complimentary bottles of Fujinami natural mineral water were provided for each guest. I was also pleasantly surprised by a free room upgrade upon arrival—a wonderful touch. The hot spring baths were clean and well-maintained. If I had one small request, it would be to have security lockers in the changing area, even if they charge a fee. From the room, Mt. Fuji looked very close and breathtakingly beautiful. The view was simply amazing.

There is a friendly Chinese-speaking guy at the front desk, and the driver is also Chinese—both were exceptionally welcoming. They offer station pick-up and drop-off services. If you're heading to Lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel is definitely worth considering. The value for money is truly unbeatable.

The room smelled like urine, and the futon had a terrible old oil smell. To make matters worse, the TV didn't even turn on in the morning. I definitely won't be staying here again.

The accommodation was okay, it's the kind where you sleep on the floor like in the picture. There's an onsen (hot spring) to soak in. When I went, the weather was around 14-20 degrees Celsius. The cool weather made soaking in the onsen incredibly relaxing.

The hotel is clean, the location to get to the hotel is very cool, the bends are great, the service from the hotel staff is also good and friendly, the Onsen is also good ☺️

The location is excellent, with a view of Mount Fuji from the balcony. It also has all the necessary amenities.
