Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa

I plan to stay two nights near Mount Fuji. I filtered accommodations by positive reviews and found this newly opened lodge. Almost all reviews were good, with not a single negative comment, and when I saw it was run by a Chinese owner, I booked it immediately. The location is super convenient, just a three to five-minute walk from the station. The entire lodge is brand new and spotless, with lots of Chinese calligraphy hanging inside, which made it feel very welcoming. The dining area is quite spacious, equipped with an ice maker, microwave, and instant noodles for purchase. A 7-Eleven is about a ten-minute walk away. The scenery is incredible. I just checked in tonight and I'm really looking forward to seeing Mount Fuji's snowscape tomorrow morning. I'll share photos then. The lighting design throughout the lodge is also very thoughtful, creating a great ambiance. The owner is from Zhejiang, and he's incredibly reliable. When traveling abroad, it's common to lose signal on your phone, so you can only communicate via messages. The owner's replies were quick and his information was accurate, which is truly rare when staying away from home. The room is very spacious and immaculately clean, and the furniture like tables and chairs is still new. But I have to emphasize this! In all my time in Japan, this is the first time I've encountered such a spacious bathroom; I absolutely love it! The kettle, and all bathroom amenities are fully provided, making for a comfortable stay. The lodge also offers vehicle rentals: electric scooters and electric bikes for 2000 yen a day, and regular bicycles for 1000 yen a day, which is excellent value for money! Most outside rentals require scanning QR codes for registration, which is a complicated process and hard to manage. Here, you can rent directly at the front desk, which saves so much hassle. This is a huge plus! This was a self-funded stay, with no cooperation or advertising fees; these are my genuine, heartfelt feelings. If you're a Chinese friend reading this, please give it a like! It was a fantastic stay, from check-in to check-out. The owner saw my passport and immediately greeted me in Chinese, then gave me an overview of the hotel. Since it was my first time staying in such a traditional Japanese hotel, I had a lot of questions, but they were all answered patiently and thoroughly. The room facilities were excellent; I slept on a tatami mat with a very soft mattress, so there was no trouble sleeping. I also booked a room with a view, so I could see Mount Fuji first thing in the morning (though at other times, it depends on the weather). The hotel also has an onsen, and after a day of exploring Lake Yamanaka, a soak in the hot spring at night was incredibly relaxing. They even provide large umbrellas if it rains, which was really convenient. But the most delightful surprise was receiving a beautiful small gift when I checked out. Overall, I would give this place full marks, not just for the amenities but also for their attentive service. If I have a chance to visit Mount Fuji again, I will definitely stay here. Great location, very close to the station and with a large supermarket and 100-yen shops nearby, which is very convenient when traveling with kids. It's also just a few minutes' walk to the lake. The guesthouse room was neat and clean, and to our delightful surprise, we could even see Mount Fuji from the window in the morning! The staff were warm and welcoming, and we really appreciated the small departure gift. We'll definitely book again if we get the chance.

This is a detached Japanese-style hotel villa, quiet yet conveniently located. You can see the distant silhouette of Mount Fuji from your window, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the lake area. You can cheaply rent bicycles to tour the lake attractions and enjoy the free hot springs. The owner is Chinese, very friendly and generous; they even upgraded my single room for free, which made me extend my stay for two more days. The young bellhop was very nice and helped me carry my luggage to the bus stop to catch my bus. I hope to bring my family and friends here again next time, as this hotel is just too good!

The owner is very kind and the hotel has a great atmosphere; it's quite charming. The bed is also very comfortable. It feels perfect for families or friends traveling together. It's very close to Lake Yamanaka, within walking distance, and you can also rent bicycles from the owner at a very reasonable price. If I have the chance, I'll definitely stay for a few more days next time.

This is our top choice for an onsen hotel when visiting Mount Fuji. It's a detached villa situated by Lake Yamanaka, which used to be a retreat for Toyota, and I also saw a Canon retreat nearby. The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean, and the tatami mats made for a comfortable sleep. From the second-floor rooms, you can draw the curtains and enjoy direct views of Mount Fuji. Our room, 203, had an almost unobstructed view, except for some clouds, meaning you could admire the beauty of Mount Fuji without even leaving the room. It's just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop where the bus from Shinjuku to Lake Yamanaka drops you off. Exploring Lake Yamanaka is also just a short walk away. For cycling around the lake, you can rent bikes at the hotel for less than half the price of rentals outside. The A1 and A2 buses to Oshino Hakkai and Lake Kawaguchiko are also just a few minutes' walk away. There's a Lawson convenience store nearby, as well as restaurants and bars. The hotel's onsen is open all night, with cleaning done from 10 AM to 2 PM. Since we tend to keep late hours, we essentially had the onsen to ourselves during our stay. The front desk staff member was handsome and kind, and the owner was very enthusiastic, even helping us call our next hotel in Japanese to arrange pick-up. The environment, service, and scenery all deserve a perfect score. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Mount Fuji!
