Asia Hotel Fujisan

Overall, for 438, this accommodation offers incredible value for money, much better than staying in Kawaguchiko. The room was a spacious and very clean Japanese-style room with a private bathroom. I used the hot spring twice; once I had it all to myself, and the other time there were people but it wasn't crowded. The water was very clean. There's no breakfast or dinner, but there's a 7-Eleven right next door where you can buy things until 11 PM. They provide a Chinese guide with all the important information clearly laid out. The entire hotel is managed by just one person. We arrived quite early and had to wait about 20 minutes after ringing the doorbell before the owner was free to check us in, but the service was good.

Great location and excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again. The description didn't mention an onsen, but I ended up enjoying the hot springs six times during my three-day stay! The transportation is also very convenient, as the hotel is located right between Gotemba and Lake Kawaguchiko.

This hotel generally felt quite old. I chose it this time primarily for the low price, so I somewhat expected that, but I was bothered by the lack of proper maintenance: the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold, the exhaust fan hadn't been cleaned, and there was accumulated dust in the corners of the room. Being on the first floor, the view was also terrible. I could clearly see a shed in the back with trash and discarded items scattered about, and overgrown weeds everywhere. It was truly an eyesore. While the sheets on the bedding were clean, which was nice, the futon was so thin it felt like a 'senbei' (rice cracker), and my back ended up hurting. I wish there had been at least an additional thin mattress.

The location was excellent, very convenient being right by Lake Yamanaka. There was also a convenience store nearby, so shopping wasn't an issue. The room wasn't too small, and having a chair and table made it very usable. The sink by the window was also a convenient touch, making for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is very close to Lake Yamanaka, quiet and nice. There's also a convenience store right outside the hotel, so not having meals included was absolutely no problem.

I stayed here on the middle day of a three-day weekend. They offer complimentary welcome drinks, including green tea, black tea, and water. The onsen (hot spring) isn't huge, but the temperature was just right and very relaxing. My only slight disappointment was the lack of a mini-fridge in the room. Overall, the accommodation fee was very affordable and a good value.
