Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2 weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mount Fuji. The highlight was definitely the view from my room's balcony, where I could see both Mt. Fuji and Lake Yamanakako. Waking up to such a beautiful scenery was unforgettable.
I also loved that the room had a tatami corner—it quickly became my favorite spot to relax and enjoy the view. The hotel has two outdoor onsen, which were perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast offered a great variety of choices, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining area provided a stunning view of Mt. Fuji while enjoying the meal.
The hotel is located on top of a hill, so getting there by public transportation can be a little challenging. As a solo traveler without a car, I really appreciated the complimentary shuttle service, which picked me up from the 7-Eleven at the bottom of the hill.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would happily return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji.

Being on top of the hill, the air is so fresh and the bird sings. I enjoyed the hotel onsen overlooking Mt Fuji and the buffet breakfast room with a lovely view. I stayed on the 3rd floor on the old side and there are 10 steps of stair which is very difficult with my 2 luggage. The room needs to be updated and if YouTube and Netflix are available it would be good.

We stayed in a lake-view room, which faced the lake directly, and we could see Mount Fuji beautifully from the balcony. The room was also quite spacious, and the cleanliness was well maintained. The hotel has hot springs on two floors, and the one on the second floor offers direct views of Mount Fuji. The breakfast area also overlooks Mount Fuji, so overall, the value for money is excellent.

The hotel is located at the top of the mountain and the only way to get up and down to and fro the hotel is by their scheduled hotel shuttle bus until a specific timing or by a private taxi. The hotel also does not have a full front view of mount Fuji view in most of its rooms except their suite rooms.. so if you booked standard room, the only way to view mount Fuji is via outside balcony right side view... It also depends on the months and weather of the region and luck at that time. During my time, the fog and mist are so thick that it blocked the entire mount Fuji view completely out of sight and we can't even see the mountain itself from our hotel. Lastly, I was charged of spa tax per person per night even though we did not use the spa...

A hidden gem of a hotel with spectacular views of Mount Fuji! I booked a random room just a week before Golden Week, and upon entering, I was immediately struck by how spacious and bright it was. The room itself was also very roomy and incredibly clean. Both of their hot springs offer direct, panoramic views of Mount Fuji! The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the breakfast restaurant started my day off beautifully. It happened to be Children's Day in Japan, and the hotel thoughtfully provided games and movies for the kids. I was very satisfied with this stay. I highly recommend staying two or three nights – it's truly rejuvenating.

The hotel is located on a mountain, and while there's no direct public bus, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service, which was great. You can enjoy a stunning view of Mount Fuji. The room facilities are also good. The onsen (hot spring) costs 150 JPY per person and is excellent.

Breath taking view on the mt Fuji from the outdoor onsen. Very established hotel so very packed when both of us went during the weekend. Usage of onsen is public. So if packed not as nice. Other than that, good experience. Very huge hotel room. Just little old if you don’t mind. View from my room.

The place is old along with the furnitures but the view of Mt. Fuji is really stunning. Having my first onsen gazing at Mt. Fuji is awesome. Food was great, enjoyed the view while eating. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
You have to wake up early to see the sea of clouds in Lake Yamanaka. Perfect hotel although it is a bit far. Transport is provided and navigating around is easy.

Booked an amazing hotel! We especially loved the Japanese-style suite we were upgraded to on the second day – our whole family was very happy with it. I have to mention the hotel's hot spring too; it's semi-open air, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji while soaking. Highly recommended!
