Hotel Mt. Fuji

Hotel Mt. Fuji

📍 Yamanaka 1360-83, Yamanakako
★★★★ 9.3 (642 reviews)

"I had a great stay! The onsens were lovely and looked exactly like the photos, with a great view of Mt Fuji. Everything was very clean and the sauna and whirlpool made the stay such a relaxing one. The views were just awesome and Mt Fuji looked great in the sunset. Breakfast had a good variety of Japanese and Western food and tasted great. Service was ok, not the warmest people but they did their best. If only it wasn't so far up the mountain or if it was easier to get shuttles up and down the hill, it will be perfect!"

Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa

Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa

"The room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of Mount Fuji—the scenery is simply divine! The Japanese-style tatami room is clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable beds. A casual table and chairs are placed by the window; sitting on the balcony in the morning or evening to quietly watch the mountain view is incredibly soothing! The guesthouse has separate men's and women's hot springs, perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. The guesthouse is well-equipped, bright, and airy. The host is very friendly, and the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Fuji from your bed. Whether it's a short vacation or a chance to unwind, it's perfect. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Mount Fuji!"

"Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is brand new, well-maintained, and offers a great level of privacy, which we really appreciated. The sauna was definitely one of the highlights very relaxing and well done. That said, the service was quite minimal, as the hotel does not provide much assistance compared to other hotels. In addition, the pillow was not very comfortable and caused some neck discomfort. Other than that, everything else was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our stay."

"This hotel is incredibly authentic. The value for money is exceptional. Unfortunately, we had bad weather and couldn't see Mount Fuji from our room, but of course, that's not the hotel's fault. The rooms are clean and cozy; you feel like you've stepped into the Shogun series. The only downside was that the lobby was extremely cold. The hotel shouldn't skimp on heating the common areas."

Hotel Mt. Fuji ★★★★
"Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2  weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji."

Godere Hotel Fuji Yamanaka Tabist ★★★★
"There's no lift in the hotel. You'll need to walk up the stairs. The staffs were not friendly when checking in, no smile at all. They didn't not help us carry the luggage to our room (my leg was injured and climbing!) The ONLY REASON why we booked this hotel was because of the view. However, the window was super duper dirty! There's water stain and water mark everywhere on the window. The escrow room was not clean. There're dead fries on the window, ceiling, and shower. The shower was a joke! It's so tiny that you'd bump into the door, shower head, or shower knob when you're in the shower. The rail that holds the shower head and the toiletries shelf are loose. The hotel would charge you if you request for more blankets or pillows."

Mt Fuji View and Private Sauna Ryokan Shizuku(No accommodation for 12 years old and below) ★★★★
"The hotel is right in Yamanakako Village, with a bus stop conveniently located at the entrance, making it easy to get around. They also offer bicycle rentals, and Lake Yamanakako is perfect for a scenic bike ride. The room was very spacious, featuring a hot tub with direct views of Mount Fuji – soaking while gazing at the snow-capped mountain was absolutely amazing. Our special room even came with a sauna, making for a perfect sauna-then-soak experience. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and for dinner, we could choose from an 8-course menu delivered right to our room. The staff were also very warm and attentive. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation in Yamanakakao."

SHOSHU HOTEL ★★★
"We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, they were wonderful. The room is in a traditional style: tata, futon, onsen (divided into female and male). The room has everything you need for comfort: refrigerator, toilet, closet and safe, tea set, heater, even traditional clothing. Even more pleasing was the presence of a adapter for different types: USB, type C. The hotel was large, but there were almost no tenants. So I was able to be on the Internet all alone - it was great. The hotel offers inexpensive breakfast, we didn’t take it because in the walking distance of Lawson, just below the lake are Family Mart and 7 Eleven. The hotel also offers bicycles and e-bikes for rent, on the second day a cute girl allowed us to ride all day without extra charge (it’s very valuable). They rode around the whole lake by bike, went to Oshino hakkai. It was great. We found ourselves among the lucky ones, to whom Fuji was open for all the days of his trip to Yamanakako. A wonderful place and hotel. Thank you very much for the warmth and comfort."
