Booked this hotel for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was AMAZING! Welcome drink on arrival, and for extra we booked the option of the private onsen. Brilliant experience, highly recommend!

Superb services. All staff are very friendly. This roykan has real jap traditional courses. The town itself can close to nothing with one or two expensive restaurants target foreigners. But you come here just for onsen and relax. Onsen itself ok but not the great.

More than 2,000 a night, only breakfast, no dinner, not cost-effective, the waiter is very polite, the hotel is a bit old, but clean.
If there aren't enough hot spring pools, go to Takashiga Ski Resort for 20 minutes

The service is good, like Japanese characteristics. The location of this restaurant is not very good. You can't see anything in the outdoor soup. The ritual of dinner and breakfast is very good.

A very good Japanese-style hot spring resort hotel. The only drawback is that there are few private baths, few rooms, and the price is expensive.

The hotel service is first-class and the staff have good service attitude. -Bo Ershi is very delicious, carefully prepared, rich in food, exquisite desserts, and many types. I sincerely recommend it.

The location is the worst... It takes almost an hour and a half from Nagano Station, and there's really no one around. It's just a hot spring and a snack bar. Taking that into account, the hot spring view is good.....

The hot springs are really great. The staff in the entire hotel are very friendly and the service is very attentive!
It's more comfortable than a five-star hotel! If the pillows could be softer and the room could be equipped with a humidifier, it would probably be a seven-star hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tsubakino. It was within a 5 minute walk from the train station, the staff were friendly and accommodating of two vegetarian travelers for breakfast. We rented a private onsen on the rooftop. Wearing Yucata robes was fun. The beds were on the floor on tatami mats. Though not as soft as I would have liked, for one night it was a real fun experience. The breakfast was traditional, high quality and fresh. I would stay here again!

We recently stayed here for one night while visiting the Snow Monkey Park. First of all, the location is fantastic. It's less than a three minute walk from the main train station and it's also located right by the bus stop which you take to the Snow Monkey Park entrance. I'd estimate that the bus ride took about a 15 min (maybe even less) because we actually walked the whole way back from the park instead of the bus, and it took us about 30 min. The staff was incredibly nice in the hotel. They didn't speak much English, but they tried to accommodate us the entire time and were always warm and friendly. We were greeted on arrival with a choice of free drink, while we sat next to a cozy fire in the lobby to warm up. We booked the Japanese room, which was very spacious in size. We had a small issue with the heat and a request for an extra cleaning in our bathroom, but the staff was on top of the issues immediately, and took care of everything in minutes. We ended up booking the private onsen on the roof, which is definitely recommended! We were there during a pretty bad snow storm, and it was a very unique experience to be in the onsen, as snow was falling around us. The next morning, breakfast was included in our rate. We were positioned in our own blocked off booth, and were given a HUGE spread from a traditional Japanese breakfast. Though the food was very foreign to us, we did try most items, and were very impressed by the classy presentation of each of the items. Overall, great experience at the Hotel Tsubakino!

The staff is very courteous. The food is very delicious. The inside of the hotel is also clean and beautiful. The bar where you can go at night has a nice atmosphere.
