Yan'an Heritage Cave Hotel

It's quite close to the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site, which is convenient. There are many rooms, and the service is good. Besides the revolutionary site, there's nothing else around. However, the rooms have serious peeling paint and are damp.

Staying at a cave hotel was quite an experience, and it was better than I expected. It was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was surprisingly comfortable. The only downside was the slightly bumpy stone path. They had a golf cart to help with luggage to the room, and breakfast was decent. For the National Day holiday, it was worth the price.

I've never stayed in a 'yaodong' (cave dwelling) before, so I specifically wanted to try it this time. The bed in our room was wide, and the duvet cover and pillowcases were quite nice to use. However, the red checkered bedsheet had some cotton pills, making it feel a bit rough and slightly uncomfortable. The ceiling, probably due to age, seemed to have some dampness, showing a large patch of discoloration. The service was normal, neither good nor bad. Breakfast was simple and refreshing, quite tasty, meeting daily needs, and the restaurant environment was clean.

Conveniently located near the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site. The accommodation was great, the service was very welcoming, and the cave dwellings were really unique. The room was spacious, and on holiday evenings, they even had a bonfire and gave out sparklers to the children. It was a wonderful experience!

This hotel is pretty good. We came to Yan'an mainly to let our child experience staying in a 'yaodong' (cave dwelling), and it was quite an experience! The hotel itself is very unique and close to all the attractions. The only downside was that it was National Day, so Yan'an was swarming with people, and we had to queue everywhere.

I stayed here during Chinese New Year, and this time I specifically came back to stay again. Everything was great, and the shower had good water pressure. The only issue is the peeling paint, which is all over the floor from the ceiling. It's probably a problem with efflorescence, and it might not be fixable.

This was my second stay at Shiyao Hotel. The service was enthusiastic and accommodating. The breakfast was plentiful. It's a really good hotel to stay at when visiting Yan'an.

Excellent service, great prices, and a friendly staff. The quality is top-notch, definitely worth recommending and purchasing. Great value for money, good facilities, clean, and a prime location with a pleasant environment. It's the best choice for both business and leisure travel, and also ideal for trips with friends.

The value for money wasn't great. There's no elevator, but the hotel staff will use an electric cart to take your luggage upstairs. The bathroom is small but quite clean, though dust kept falling from the ceiling, even onto the bed, which was a bit annoying. The breakfast for this price point was a bit disappointing; in the mornings, there were tour groups and nowhere to sit, making it chaotic and the dining environment uncomfortable.
