A peaceful oasis of calm in this tented camp . The tents are well equipped if a little tired, but the food was very local and fresh, and the staff very friendly . A couple of short tours out , the Bimbap waterfall and cycle tour on ancient bikes to local village to learn of the M’Nong culture and local coffee growing If you can , add this to your busy itinerary of Vietnam for a very different view of life

An excellent stay as a couple. Met, stroked, and fed elephants, natural waterfalls and had a great bike ride with Anh who took us to see several local minority families: clay pot making, cocoa plantation and wild coffee and cashew plants. He was very knowledgeable and explained any questions we had. On the last night there was a traditional song and dance with the locals, and we got to try some rice wine! No WiFi in the camp but WiFi in the restaurant is fast and allowed us to download anything we wanted from Netflix etc to watch in our tent. Tranquil and surrounded by nature, you will notice the cicadas being very loud throughout the stay. Annoyingly, the food was very mediocre, although all organic it was generally not as amazing as food in hoiann and han oi where we had been previously on our trip. Portion sizes are insanely big however. The only downside was the food! Price of the trip is expensive but well worth it in our opinion.

We spent two nights in a Tent overlooking the lake (last one #15). Very good concept. Our tent was next to the mini-farm, good to see the goats and pigs and chicken before eating some of them. The tent was well appointed if a little frayed at the edges. I understand the camp has been built 2016, the grounds are well kept and nicely laid out. The restaurant and main lodge are in traditional style. Restaurant staff is knowledgeable. Reception and lounge staff, maybe because it was mid-season, mostly composed of nice enough but inexperienced teenagers. You can wait half an hour waiting for somebody to notice you are hanging out and maybe in need of a drink, while two staff teenagers are eagerly chit-chatting over some video they are watching on the laptop nearby. But very helpful overall, once prompted. Food is hyper-local, and hence not the most sophisticated but certainly authentic for the Central Highlands. There is a lost opportunity to emphasize localism, what with the zell-tended vegetable garden in the middle of the camp, but no attempt to showcase the work or the results (the food in the restaurant). Similarly, if the resort is sustainable etc, then showcase it a little more than just in a hardly legible paragraph in the room flyer. Maybe organize a mini-tour, including of the resort temple on the hill that I discovered by accident. Central Highlands are really interesting, minorities, crafts, traditions, cultures, agriculture, and the short tours are well organized. The lake itself is not that inviting, appartently it is a water reservoir but I would not drink that water. Explanations/touring the fishing would be a good thing too. So all in all 4 as there is room for improvement but overall a good experience off the beaten path. No wifi in tents.

The hotel is on the other side of Lak lake which is approachable by boat or by car in 20 minutes. The view is beautiful. The ambience is fresh, relaxing and peaceful. Staff are helpful and friendly. My booking package is a good deal including tented room, dinner & breakfast, 3-hour cycling tour to local cacao garden, pottery village and green paddy field. I also enjoy kayaking around the lake and the food by chef at the restaurant. If my room is fully lake-view, that would be better. My room is partial lake-view which is blocked by trees & bushes. I will remember the moment of every morning when I was waken up by nature sound of birds & insects, enjoyed a cup of tea in very fresh air. Thanks Lak Tented Camp for a nature-friendly stay with local culture experience!

Amazing! I visited here in March with a friend of mine for one night and we both really enjoyed it! Nothing much...actually nothing at all to do on that side of Lak Lake, but that was exactly the point :) The villa we stayed in was super comfortable and luxurious, the food was delicious and fresh (but a bit on the "expensive" side), and best of all...it was quite. Like, eerily, almost deafly, silent. Lastly, at night, this was the darkest place I have been in a VERY long time. Living in Saigon for years, you forget how nighttime is supposed to look. If you are looking to get away and unplug for a few days, this is a perfect option...

Lak is totally isolated, so it’s so chill and peaceful. Green consuming and eco friendly is the top priority here. All the staff are super friendly and enthusiastic, especially the only guy in Reception. The half-day tour here is so amazing and good experience, we took a lot of beautiful pics. However, as it is open to nature, there are lots of insect here. Highly recommend for all looking for a retreat and freshup your spirit

Had an amazing time. We had to change our booking from TET and the company did this without hesitation. They even gave us meal vouchers as April was cheaper to stay. Food was fantastic, service was exceptional. Defiantly unique as they even organised an elephant to come for breakfast. Bike tour to local village was really interesting and guide to waterfall was informative and fun. Kayaks also free that was great to use. Will definitely come back.
