The travelers from France
The location of Hongyu Chinese Inn is excellent. It is just off the main street in Yangshuo, but because it is located in a small dead-end street, it is much quieter than you might expect for such a central location.
This is a small, simple hotel with more of a hostel-style atmosphere. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely, very kind and dedicated, and she genuinely tried to do everything she could to make us comfortable and help with our needs.
Unfortunately, the hotel did not match what we were looking for. There is no elevator, the bathroom has a Chinese-style toilet, and the air conditioning in our room was not working properly. Because of that, we decided not to stay and booked another hotel instead.
We actually felt bad about leaving because the lady was so nice and really made an effort to help us.
Despite our experience, I would still recommend this place to travelers looking for a very well-located and affordable option in Yangshuo, especially if the points mentioned above are not an issue for you.
