One Ching Inn (Yangshuo West Street Store)

The service here is excellent, very welcoming. The room is clean, spacious, and comfortable. It's very close to the pedestrian street with lots of food and drink options, which is super convenient.

The front desk lady was beautiful and enthusiastic! Check-in was a breeze, and the hotel is super close to West Street – just a 3-minute walk. The room was clean and tidy, and the balcony was really comfortable. The drinks at the hotel's shop were also delicious. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

The room is quite small, but incredibly well-utilized. It's a loft style, and the staircase has open treads, so be careful with kids going up and down – it's narrow and open. The ceiling on the second floor isn't flat; it's sloped, so if you sit up or stand on the bed, you'll definitely hit your head. It's only slightly bigger than an upper berth on a train. The toilet seat was cracked. I didn't notice it when I checked in, but about three hours later when I used the restroom, it pinched my butt. After I reported it, the hotel sent some disposable toilet seat covers 🤷 and said it was probably cracked by the previous guest stepping on it instead of sitting, telling us to just use the covers and be careful 🤷🤷🤷. I forgot to take a picture of the air conditioning. It's on the second floor, blowing directly onto the bed, but it's blocked by the glass on the outer side of the second floor, making it hard for the cool air to reach the first floor. So the second floor is very cold, and the first floor is hot. This is quite odd for a loft, as usually the first floor is cooler and the second floor is warmer. The hotel's location is near the entrance of the pedestrian street, quite close to Chunji Roasted Goose and the pedestrian street itself.

This stay far exceeded my expectations – I absolutely have to recommend it! We booked a twin-bed room with a view, and it was incredibly spacious. The two large beds were exceptionally comfortable. The entire room featured light grey wood finishes paired with vintage wrought-iron chandeliers, and a Van Gogh 'Sunflowers' decoration really enhanced the ambiance. It was spotlessly clean with no strange odors, and the soft furnishings were gentle and soothing. There was even a sofa by the window perfect for relaxing. The bathroom and sleeping areas were well-separated and practical. The biggest surprise was the private viewing balcony. It had a wooden deck with rattan chairs and a hanging chair, and pushing open the railing revealed a continuous, picturesque view of the karst peaks. The ancient town's grey-tiled rooftops were all visible, and even on a cloudy day, the mountain scenery had a unique charm. Sitting there, enjoying the breeze, was incredibly therapeutic. The host's service was attentive and thoughtful, and all facilities were well-maintained and complete. It’s perfect for both group trips and family stays. It's a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, and getting to the ancient town is convenient. Both the views and the comfort of the accommodation are top-notch. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

After checking in, I tried various facilities, and they all ran smoothly without any issues. The public areas were well-maintained and thoroughly cleaned with no noticeable stains, making them very pleasant to use.

This guesthouse's overall environment was such a pleasant surprise! The fourth floor has its own charming garden cafe corner, perfect for a relaxing coffee break. The rooftop garden platform offers expansive views directly facing the continuous mountain range, and it's incredibly atmospheric at night. The room's cleanliness and attention to detail were spot on, and the bedding was soft and comfortable – all my fatigue vanished the moment I lay down. Even though it's located right on West Street, once the balcony door is closed, all the outside noise fades away! The comfort level here is simply excellent, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway.

The owner and front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They were very helpful, answering all my questions quickly. When I was unsure about my itinerary, I could ask the front desk for local travel tips and routes, and their suggestions were always practical and thoughtful. The excellent service combined with the superb environment makes this place incredibly good value for money. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip. Highly recommended!

This hotel is right inside West Street, making it super convenient to get anywhere! If you're visiting, you can rent an electric scooter to cycle along the Li River and check out the Yulong River. We also tried Sister Liu's Beer Fish, which is just a short walk away – it was reasonably priced, not expensive at all, and absolutely delicious 😋
