Overall, the hotel is quite nice, and the location is excellent — close to West Street, but still quiet. However, the room we booked for two couples was very oddly designed, and the two rooms are far from equal in terms of comfort and privacy.
The room consists of two bedrooms on different levels. To get to the upper bedroom, you have to walk directly through the lower bedroom, which means the lower bedroom is essentially a passageway. Even worse, the toilet in the lower room is completely transparent. So anyone walking through the bedroom to reach the upper room can literally see the person sleeping in bed or using the toilet. For the couple staying downstairs, there is basically no privacy at all.
The listing also says “full smart home,” but in reality, almost all of the smart features are only available in the upper room. The upper room has a balcony with a table and two chairs, a separate toilet and shower, a smart toilet, an adjustable smart bed, and a home cinema with a projector screen built into the curtains.
The lower room has none of these features. So although the room is advertised as accommodation for two couples, the two couples are actually getting completely different levels of comfort. The upstairs room feels like a proper premium room, while the downstairs room feels more like a passageway with a bed.
There is also a problem with the acoustics. The interior of the hotel has a lot of empty space and echo, so sounds travel very easily. This is especially noticeable in the lower room, where you can hear quite a lot of what is happening around you.
That said, the hotel itself is nice, the location is very convenient, and it could be a great place to stay. However, I would not recommend this particular room for two couples. If you are considering booking it, make sure to ask in advance exactly which room you will get and what facilities are included in each room. The description “full smart home” gives the impression that both rooms have the same facilities, which is definitely not the case.
