Yangshuo Zen Garden Retreat

What a fabulous hotel to enjoy our stay during Golden Week. Our room 8407 had the most beautiful views which we never got bored of from dawn until going to bed. All the photos are from our room / balcony. The staff were so helpful with excellent communication throughout, providing advice on where to go, booking tickets and renting scooters. Martin was particularly helpful and had excellent English. We found the location to be perfect, quiet and on the edge of town but close enough to walk / scooter to the sites and places to see. We highly recommend

Had an amazing experience at Zen Garden Resort. The hotel is very clean and offers variety of traditional chinese activities and treatments. Staff were very helpful and attentive to all my questions. They have a cute cat and dog at the reception as well who are very friendly.

Staying here with my mom was, by far, one of the best experiences we’ve had in China. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and cared for. The hotel is in an absolutely amazing location, surrounded by beautiful countryside and incredible views. There is such a peaceful and calming energy throughout the entire property—it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and completely disconnected from the outside world. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds singing was honestly one of my favorite parts of our stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive. They genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time there, and their warmth made the whole experience feel even more special. We also loved all the activities the hotel offers. Every morning, we joined the Tai Chi sessions, which were such a beautiful way to start the day and really allowed us to embrace the peaceful atmosphere of the place. We also participated in several of the hotel’s cultural activities, including a Calligraphy class and a traditional Tea ceremony. These experiences made our stay feel much more meaningful and gave us the opportunity to learn and connect with the local culture in such a lovely setting. Another highlight was renting a scooter and exploring the surrounding countryside. It was such a fun way to discover the area at our own pace, and the scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful. Overall, it’s safe to say that my mom and I absolutely loved our stay. We truly had no complaints whatsoever and honestly didn’t want to leave! We’re already talking about coming back ASAP because this place felt like such a special little escape. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, authentic, welcoming, and full of character, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and very grateful for the experience. P.S. They also have the cutest little cat and dog roaming around the property, which made the stay even more charming! 🐱🐶❤️
