This hotel was chosen as I liked that it is children-friendly inside out. We went by Didi from Guilin. The ride was about 1.5h long. Hotel was situated at the end of the road. It is exclusive yet convenient to go out with the bicycle. Beside the hotel is a bicycle/scooter rental shop. Prices are reasonable (bicycle was charged 40rmb for the whole day). There is a very serene cycling track along the river. You can ask the friendly staff for direction. There are restaurant options within 500m radius. In general meals are quite expensive in Guilin/Yangshuo (about 150rmb for three). Hotel provides delicious meals with comparable prices. Housekeeping was done well and hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The staff can help to arrange for car rides and help to purchase entrance tickets at discounted prices. I would recommend to take their car to attraction sites because such places are quite remote and it is almost impossible to find a Didi there and back. We had the family room, facing the river. Noise cancellation was ok. We just didnt like that the neighbours were slamming their doors and other tourists were loud. Anyway, the room itself was neat and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and they provided a stepper and a toddler toilet seat which were perfect for our little boy. The couch was quite a disappointment. It has no support and we dread sitting on it after a long day out. And we felt that it would be nice to have a cabinet to put out clothes instead of living out of suitcases. The hotel facilities are exceptional though! You can borrow fishing equipments to fish by the river. They provide football and bows and arrows for kids to play at the big field. There is a sandpit, an indoor and an outdoor playground, an outdoor pool, an area with chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and fresh vegetables and i think you could also ask to use their bbq pits. We had a great eight days at this hotel and would highly recommend it :)

Super location, superb staff (especially the front office, housekeeping and restaurant staff). Big shout out to Alice. Speaks English well and took care of our every need from picking us up to sending us off to our next destination (pro-tip: make all your bookings through her. We would like to say a big thanks to all of the staff at the Tong Resort for our short but memorable stay. From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, Tong Resort gives everything you’d hope for. The hardware was all in good working order, the level of cleanliness was excellent and the service is on par or even better than international-level 5-star hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. Quite outstanding! The hotel reached out to me prior to arrival day for check-in and special occasion arrangements. The hotel has a WeChat private service group where all of your requests can be disseminated at ease; with the nature of our trip being a birthday surprise celebration it was rather effective! The hotel offers private car pick-up service from Yangshuo Railway Station or you may also choose Didi. Upon arrival at Tong Resort, we were presented with welcome drinks, invited to be seated and were promptly escorted to our room. You can tell they have placed a lot of thought into the room features and design; they even embroidered the hotel logo into their bed linen. The hotel offers shuttle car services to and from West Street, this is one of the most famous global streets in China which is a must visit for all Yangshuo travelers. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were spoilt with free late night snacks sent to our room and most importantly the hotel did not forget about the birthday cake which was timely delivered at 00:00. The breakfast by the swimming pool was scrumptious. There is a choice between Asian and Western and you can select as many items as you wish from the menu which in turn gets freshly prepared for you. The team is doing such a good job; although the hotel has only been opened for 2 years, it seems as though the staff as been trained for over 10 years! What’s more, after check out whilst we were waiting at the lobby for Didi, a staff member had the attentiveness to place down glasses of water which she had no obligation for doing. What a nice gesture! At the end, essentially it’s these finer touches that sets a hotel from its counterparts.
